A native of Sacramento, California. Attended the Univ. of Calif., Davis and studied Psychology and Political Science.
Moved to San Diego in 1984 and was a Probation Officer and later a Library Supervisor at the Univ. of Calif., San Diego.
Semi-retired to the artsy enclave of Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 2008.
