Want to feel tall and svelte? Like you can safely cancel your body wax appointment? Evolved? Visit the Lucy Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle and compare yourself to 3.2 million year old Lucy as a fossil and a life-sized replica. Find out about the connection between Lucy and the Beatles, too. The Pacific Science Center has put together a great exhibit, with personal listening devices to hear information about the stations you choose, interactive stops for children and adults, and wonderful photographs and artifacts. Even if you aren't a believer in evolution, this exhibit presents the rich history of Ethiopia and its strong ties to Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. A time-line puts Ethiopia's history into perspective by pairing it with things happening worldwide. It explains how Ethiopia managed to be the only African nation that escaped foreign rule. There are religious artifacts, games, musical instruments, weapons, coins, jewelry and much more to see. This is an exhibit you won't want to miss. I've seen it twice and learned new things each time. Make sure to visit the Pacific Science Center before the exhibit ends in March!
