I would like to do a short and informal survey on the food Rant Ravers eat locally. Feel free to partake or remain silent. Thanks!
1. Would you like to see exotic meats (such as: giraffe, monkey, dolphins or lions) served at casual dress or fast food chain restaurants? (Up scale chain restaurants already do in some cases.)
2. Would you like to see more diversity of vegetables and preparation of vegetables at casual dress or fast food chain restaurants?(Usually they are in the form of a garden salad or steamed country vegetables{aka: Broccoli, cauliflower and carrots})
3. Do you get bored of the same greasy fast-food menu's, their limited choice, their over availability?
4. Would you eat at establishments that served local seasonal food only if they were owned and managed by chain establishments?
5. Would you be opposed to paying for fruits and veggies in bulk and in advance and have them delivered or picked up seasonally so that local farmers could get back to growing local produce?
6. If your local supermarket offered such a service would you take advantage of it?
7. Have you purchased meat in bulk before?
8. If you eat meat, do you prefer the taste of fresh killed game or farm bread provisions?
9. Do you eat a minimum of 6 to 8 servings of fruits and veggies a day?
10. Do you have trouble serving fruits or veggies with your meals in an appealing way?
The reason I ask is not because I'm nosey, although subconsciously maybe I am. I've noticed in my own personal experience that we humans are creatures of habit. Most of us would buy healthier food if it was readily available and just as satisfying as the bulk commercial stuff we eat now. The difference is that large scale producers of food are not convinced that they could make money from locally grown or produced produce or meat. I suspect that nationally most people would eat fast food veggies as much as they would fast food fries and that it is not the grease that we crave but the convenience. Your answers to these questions will either confirm or dissuade my suspicions. Thank s Again!
