Rent A Date To Help Raise Funds For Brain Tumor Research

Jane Elliott, Health reporter, BBC News, "Woman in 'rent-a-date' bid for brain tumor research".

I love to read stories that are inspiring. Today so many people in life face challenges that are monumental, life changing. Then they set aside their own sufferings, and decide to challenge the disease. To do something, not to just sit still.

This story is about a beautiful young girl, from London, who at the young age of 27 was diagnosed with a inoperable brain tumor.

Lisa Connell could not walk, and was paralyzed. She started to go to the gym every day, working tirelessly to get in shape.

Lisa came up with an idea, to rent herself out to raise funds for Brain Tumor research. Her goal is to raise 1 million pounds, before she dies.

Since then, numerous people have come to help out. Her struggles and those of others can be read about on her sites.

In times of great challenge, it is encouraging to see such strength, selflessness, bravery, honesty. My heart once again been touched, and I am reminded of the goodness in humanity. The wonderful strength of compassion. The fact that it only takes a spark, one spark, to start a fire.

Lisa my heart and prayers are with you.

I won't say it's a scam but there's certainly something incongruous here.
