People may be stuck in their homes, and Congress may be unable to vote on bills, but I’m thankful for the East Coast’s Snowpocalypse. It’s introduced me to the most extreme weatherman in the world.

Love him or hate him, this is one crazy weatherman that's here to stay. I’m sure the big bosses love that Jim Kosek is blowing up online. As a “senior meteorologist,” Jim Kosek is able to do just about whatever he wants on his web updates, and he certainly takes advantage of that fact. The guy makes jokes about being drunk at work, that “nude day” would be freeing, and other “unique observations” about the weather.
In case you were wondering, yes, Accuweather.com offers boring, newsreader-style weather reports, too, but they suck. You can go to any old weather website to find out if it's going to rain tomorrow. Forget all the other wimpy Accuweather meteorologists. Jim Kosek’s the only one who matters.
My favorite Jim Kosek moments are when he yells so loud, the techs cut his mike. He’s got some major pipes, and he’s not afraid to use them. I guess Jim Kosek’s one of those “love or hate” guys – what do you think?
