On Sunday, we went for a long walk. We took the sky-train to Granville, then walked down Robson, to English bay, along the sea wall, through Stanley Park, to the lake with many ducks and other animals, including Swans on the walkway, that was minding his or her own business, Then the walkway to the Lost Lagoon, to Harbor park. Coal Harbor and to the new Convention center. And then to the Sky-train home.

Me impression was without a doubt Vancouver is the most beautiful and clean city in the world, In Rio the beach front is beautiful but pass a few blocks was a different story. There were a variety of people, as I walked by many languages were being spoken.

Vancouver topped the list of the world's most livable cities for the fifth straight year, while Melbourne claimed second place from Vienna and Australian and Canadian cities dominated the list's top 10 spots.

In the annual survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit, the Canadian west coast city and 2010 Winter Olympics host scored 98% on a combination of stability, health care, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure — a score unchanged from last year.

Yes Vancouver is an expensive place to live, in regards to houses and apartments,
if you are not well off you can buy a great place to live only 3o minutes from downtown, the transit like the SkyTrain, is fast and inexpensive, you can buy a monthly pass. the Subway, (Skytrain runs above ground, and the scenery as you travel is spectacular.

According to Capilano's daughter, the British gave his men muskets. despite the possibility that the attack predicted by the British never came, the guns were used to repel an attack by an indigenous raid from the north. Stanley Park was not attacked but this was the start of it being deliberated a critical military place by the British.

The liveability survey by the London-based Economist Intelligent Survey (EIU) describes Vancouver, host of the 2010 Winter Olympics. as almost perfect. Similar research by Mercer Consulting puts Vienna in first place followed by Zurich and Geneva.
