Underwater Cities: Proof of Global Flood

Discovering our future... by the past!
Written by
With the recent discoveries of submerged cities... "Some have even caused scientists to question the history of human civilization."
http://weburbanist.com/2007/09/12/underw...

"There are over 300 cultures scattered throughout the world that have a worldwide flood story. Coincidence? I think not."
http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.p...

"Some structures within the complex may be as long as 400 metres wide and as high as 40 metres," he said. "Some are sitting on top of each other. They show very distinct shapes and symmetrical designs of a non-natural kind. We've shown them to scientists in Cuba, the U.S. and elsewhere, and nobody has suggested they are natural."

Until now all we had were legends and folklore... it would seem "faith" is not even required when it comes to the evidence that only recently has surfaced. With the advancement of technology, it would appear there is also an advancement in theology. Now more than ever the "old writ" of ancient text comes alive with each modern discovery. Who would have thought that what was deemed mythical legend, would be front-page news? Given time all our would-be questions will be answered...

Familiar with the story of the scientist determined to scale the Mountain of Truth? Acquiring all the knowledge and information possible he struggled through many hardships to reach the summit, only to find a theologian already sitting on the peak. The scientist had nearly killed himself to get there, but the theologian wasn't even out of breath. This is the accurate picture today... we have those who wear themselves out by every means possible to disprove or debunk, what is now blatant evidence.

Who would have thought that it only took the advancement of our best minds... to catch up to those prophets of old? Those bare-foot wandering men of God, were only a few thousand years ahead of the Gucci wearing, Mercedes driving, California dream-teams... diving into the deep, only to discover and prove what was believed for Millenia!

IN fact it is the modern archeologist that seem to dust off his bible for guidance, more oft than the "believer" ... ironically it will be the scientist in the end that discovers GOD, and brings back the wayward "prodigal son" to the truth of the scriptures! It almost seems that God has been toying with us, by hiding from view those things that could have easily swayed our reasonings... yet He didn't stack the deck in His favor, allowing us our devices. I think He would have us take Him at His Word...
and rediscover that indeed, He has revealed Himself to man.

I for one, am looking forward with anticipation to the next big discovery...
it may be nothing less than the second coming of Christ!

14 months ago: The fact that your nonsensical conclusions are not just "evidence" to you but "proof" of something that is utterly dismissed by actual scientists is illustrative of your mindset.

You will reject it when you find the actual scientific evidence regarding these sites contradicts your dogma, right?

You see a speck of nothing as "proof" but a mountain of evidence is beneath your notice.

14 months ago: Guess what. Scientists know about underwater cities, and as Wikipedia puts it

"Modern geology, and its sub-disciplines of earth science, geochemistry, geophysics, glaciology, paleoclimatology, paleontology and other scientific disciplines utilize the scientific method to analyze the geology of the earth. The key tenets of flood geology are refuted by scientific analysis and do not have any standing in the scientific community."

14 months ago: The human mind is inquisitive. You can't put schackels on it. That's why we have freedom in thinking. Anyway, who knows if God doesn't walk among us at this time. Nobody knows.
14 months ago: When Jotham was told about this, he climbed up on the top of Mount Gerizim and shouted to them, "Listen to me, citizens of Shechem, so that God may listen to you. 8 One day the trees went out to anoint a king for themselves. They said to the olive tree, 'Be our king.'

9 "But the olive tree answered, 'Should I give up my oil, by which both gods and humans are honored, to hold sway over the trees?'

10 "Next, the trees said to the fig tree, 'Come and be our king.'

11 "But the fig tree replied, 'Should I give up my fruit, so good and sweet, to hold sway over the trees?'

12 "Then the trees said to the vine, 'Come and be our king.'

13 "But the vine answered, 'Should I give up my wine, which cheers both gods and humans, to hold sway over the trees?'

14 "Finally all the trees said to the thornbush, 'Come and be our king.'

15 "The thornbush said to the trees, 'If you really want to anoint me king over you, come and take refuge in my shade; but if not, then let fire come out of the thornbush and consume the cedars of Lebanon!'

16 "Have you acted honorably and in good faith by making Abimelek king? Have you been fair to Jerub-Baal and his family? Have you treated him as he deserves?
14 months ago: Wow Stan,

Are you spamming me?
14 months ago: Not spam. The Bible.

You know, the Tree King.
14 months ago: SO you have a point... quoting an allegorical story from the Bible?
14 months ago: How can you dismiss this account of the Tree King as an allegory?

God took the trouble to put it in the Bible in black and white.

That's good enough for me.

No scientist has ever disproved it.

Next thing you will be telling me that the creation myth and the flood story are myths or stories.
14 months ago: Stan,

I am going to tell you what I have always told people, that have either cursed me out, mocked or yelled at me... "I know you are, but what am I?" ...and that is....

Is that all you got? All righty then!
14 months ago: If you told me that, according to your faith

1. evidence is evidence if is supports my reading of the book written by men, and
2. evidence written by God in the world, so far as it contradicts my reading of the book written by men, is ridiculous, and is no evidence at all, and only fools would believe it.

Then, this is consistent with your view that God made the world already old and full of false clues to its antiquity, and I would have nothing more to add. By that view the world is a lie, that displays conclusive facts that are wrong. The truth cannot be seen in the world, but only in the Bible.
14 months ago: God did make man "mature" ...aged, like He made the trees "mature" ...aged, like He made the constellations "mature" ...aged; you think that from random chaos came perfect order harmony and balance... and you call me a fool?
Use that hand to get a grip!
14 months ago: As to the fossil "record" it was laid down by a global flood.
14 months ago: Even if there were fossils under your flooded cities I suspect you'd still be convinced about the flood story, yes?
14 months ago: You make a good point, according to the Bible that violence filled the earth, so there may have been bones and such in the dirt... whether they built on graves, like catacombs, I don't know.

14 months ago: Truthbrary I hope you don't mind me talking because I follow your comments, which of course I enjoy. Science and religion are open to infinite. We have minds that wonder. We ask questions,we look for answers. The minds frontier is Freedom and that is what it is suppose to be. We have that privilege of thinking and believing whatever we choose to. I have something personally that overlooks a lost Temple. People scale it and look for answers constantly. The unknown has always been a road for the seeker to find answers and gain wisdom. I'm sure there are undiscovered Cities and ruins out there to be discovered. If there weren't any left, we wouldn't have questions that we are still trying to find answers for.

14 months ago: Very cool.
14 months ago: Here's the deal... some say aliens built these cities, I disagree, I don't think "immigration" was as big a problem as it is now. That being said.. I am offering a reoccurring thought among those viewing the evidence that is submerged. Most are finding that the civilizations are different than the ones on the land, like being before the invention of the wheel or sundial... ergo they were separated by some catastrophe...

14 months ago: I'm reading a book by the Author, James Rollins. He is my favorite. The book is Sandstorm which is about the search for the lost City of Ubar. He covers a lot of facts of history and topography of the land in ancient areas that have long been lost. This man is an Adventurer at heart and lives it. It is fiction as a story and facts mixed together. You made me think of that.

14 months ago: The truth is sometimes hard to see when you are standing on it. It is difficult for a human to believe that there were greater civilizations before the current face of the planet. It is even more difficult for a human to believe that they were purposely destroyed. The leading human belief system of the physical world is that all of us were created by a Greater Being. It is the center hope of all faiths that humans will be rewarded by God. It is often cited that all will be well when God returns to be seen and heard on the earth. I read and think too much, I often find what I do not want to see. Did you know that the often quoted Bible say's Woe to him who looks forward to the Great Day of the Coming of the Lord for that day is Darkness and not Light, Destruction and not Salvation. How many books are spoken of as being endorsed by God. The Bible is not the only book, there are many more. The Bible does speak of the ignorance of humans, and the need for physical management, punishment and destruction. How many people did God kill, and how many civilizations did God destroy? There is so much archeological evidence for " X " files. You know the hush hush keep a lid on it type of discoveries that are made everyday. Why are we being lied to? Who is lying to us? Is it really for OUR own good?
14 months ago: Ricardo,

There may be many books, but there is only one God, and He will not confuse anyone...
We have only one Jesus Christ who fulfilled the scriptures and lived them, even in His death burial and resurrection, He established the Scriptures as God's authentic Word to mankind. That is why we read and adhere to the Bible... not because we "prefer" it's message over another... there are other books out there with easier messages. No, we follow because it was given to us to understand and pass on and instruct our children and the nations. Jesus Christ called us to follow and MAKE disciples...

Jesus said: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," Matthew 28:19

The truth of the matter is, if people on hearing the Word of God, believe and turn to Him... there is no fear, nothing but love grace and truth. The destruction is for the "Devil and his angels" as the Bible puts it... if we don't want to be thrown in with that lot... we simply need to turn to God. He turns nobody away, and is merciful to all... willing and ready to transform any life to be all they were created to be. Those who have returned to God know what I am referring to.

Yet there are people people who have no intention to seek God, they stand on the sidelines and would rather judge Him, according to their standards. God will not be manipulated into preforming circus acts or changing His Word and commands. The fact is according to the Bible is God does kill, by "natural" disaster or by His own specific will. If people can't handle that.. God will not change His Word or action to accommodate them. He is not merely trying to scare them, He is warning them of impending doom. Even the UN warned Muammar Gaddafi of certain destruction... well, in turn God is warning our nations and people of the Judgement after our death.

'And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,"
Hebrews 9:27

14 months ago: Only thing I can say to this is that when you see a little innocent child dying of a terminal illness, he has no knowledge of anything profound. He never got the chance to read a book about lost civilizations. He didn't have to know about the Bible's predictions or promises. He didn't have to know the dark side of anything at all, and yet this child has the gift of strength and faith and courage when faced with his maker. There is no doubt but just a natural faith. I rather be happy and look forward to life and not live in fear of books written by men who are just like you and I and can instill threat and fear in humanity. Books that try to sway people to believe in what is other than good and can hurt society. I see it as fiction. How do you say "How many people did God kill." I'm sure it wasn't to kill anything purposely if it were true, which I doubt. Isn't one of the Commandments "Thou shalt not kill?" That would be a contradiction. I rather not think too much about it. Not necessary.

14 months ago: Thanks Truthbrary. Well said as always.
14 months ago: I believe it is important for commentors to understand the facts. In 2001, after much suffering I searched for God. I was lead to quit my job and I spent the next two weeks reading the Bible and writing notes for a cross reference. I read everyday, morning, noon and night everyday for two weeks. I gave no thought to the world outside, I answered no telephone or salesman at my door. I gave my full effort to reading and praying for understanding. I read the Bible,......every word, every page, from the front cover to the back cover. God is supernatural and beyond the normal human experience.
When people disagree with what I Know is written in the Bible it is apparent they have not read it.
14 months ago: Props for reading the Bible... many don't.

14 months ago: What you went through was a very hard and difficult experience. I'm sorry you suffered through that time. Hopefully, you got came through it. I grew up in a Christian family. I went to church every Sunday, and I attended Catholic Schools and public. I was taught religion at an early age and maintained by living it each day. Plus, it was drilled into me. I'm not trying to take anything away from your experience or what you have learned. We all have different connections with God, and our experiences and ability to get through adversity have been tested and will be continued to be tested every day. God is not beyond the normal human experience to some of us. When you have made that connection once, you believe, as you do, and no one can take that from you. Sunny

14 months ago: So what do you think about this: Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. bible.cc/matthew/18-3.htm I never see anyone bring that up.

14 months ago: Sunny,

I think "as a child" shows how we need to approach God and take Him at His Word. If you tell a child something, they simply believe and obey... we need more of that in our lives.

14 months ago: Very Good..... I never like to complicate things. Best not to. Your mind is more clear and you don't worry a lot. Instead of people trying or struggling as laymen to intrepret the Bible, they should really refer to theologians, scholars, and people like yourself as a Pastor who have that understanding.
14 months ago: Sunny,

I think that is why we just need to accept Jesus as our Savior, with Him in out lives we will have all we need. Jesus said that He was the way, truth and life (John 14:6)... not that he would "show" us the way, but that He is the Way... and if He is in our lives we will be guided wherever we go. Also, He is the Truth, not that He will tell us the truth... but with Him in our lives, we will have all the life and future we need. Lastly, He said He was the Life... no longer have to feat death... with Him in our lives we have all life we need.

Jesus then said, "I am the one who raises the dead to life! Everyone who has faith in me will live, even if they die. 2And everyone who lives because of faith in me will never really die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26

14 months ago: Truthbrary, so true. Very simple. I don't think anything is meant to be dwelled on too much. They won't find any better answers then what we have by searching frantically for it. What you said is very obvious and should be right in front of everyone's eyes, but they make it too hard to see. I believe that we are his instruments and tools to do good and carry on. We are the caretakers.
Yes, I totally believe what Jesus said. I don't have doubts. No matter what you go through, and you feel you are drowing at times, you always can come up for air if you choose. "Faith"
We don't know for certain where life really begins or ends. I believe you have to let go of obstacles that may be preventing belief and faith and let your life run its course and be happy. If you can smile, you can be happy. Do what whatever you have to when a burden crosses your path and carry on, good or bad. I never question. Even through this difficult times with the unemployment and all the hardships, I never once went without or doubted something would come up to help. I never panic because I believe it will be okay. It really has been okay. Who needs all those material things anyway? Sunny
14 months ago: Good post and good comments.

We are called to be "child-like" not "child-ish"

That perspective far from stunting our growth, ensures our growth.

We develop a mature perspective by taking responsibility for our lives. We grow out of child hood and "childish-ness" but we should not grow out of "child- likeness" especially when we know Who our Father is.

Children trust. They have a sense of awe and wonder and they are never discouraged long. Children are creative, they don't hold grudges and know how to forgive and forget. These are some of the best qualities of children that we are to continue to emulate.

Unfortunately, time, the world system, our inherent sinfulness and the negative influence of others can corrupt that innocence and simplicity of faith.

In a world where fathers should be honored, they are too often absent, abusive and anything but unconditional lovers. Those who should be our heroes end up being hated and reviled. Unfortunately that spills back onto God as Father and further distorts what were once "child-like" perceptions.

Many hate their own father, how can they then love the ultimate Father?

Enter the anti-Christs.

Be that as it may, the victory is ours. We just have to receive it and live it out.

Life is hard, but we were never promised easy anyway.
