God is Spirit, if Jesus was the Word and the word was spoken to create the World and then the Word became flesh and dwelt amounst us then Jesus returned to Heaven in a Gloyrifed body, than is he Spirit or body?

According to the Hebrew translation and its grammar Abraham ran to the 3 and called them in the singular.

Exodus 6:2-3: And God spoke to Moses, and said to him, I am Jehovah. And I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty. But I was not known to them by the name JEHOVAH.

Exodus 33:20: And He said, you cannot see My face. For there no man can see Me and live. And he said, thou canst not see my face

This means not his form, his essence, his very nature, and the glory of it, that Moses must know he could never see; but the brightest displays of his grace and goodness in Christ, the fullest discoveries of it, which are too much for man, in the present state of things, to have, who sees in part, and but through a glass darkly, not face to face, or in the most complete and perfect manner; it is but a small part and portion of God, and of his ways and works, as of creation and providence, so more especially of grace, salvation, and redemption by Jesus Christ, that is known of him; the things of the Gospel in their full perfection are what eye has not seen; and particularly were more hidden and unseen under the legal dispensation; this face was covered with types and shadows, and dark representations of things; though, in comparison of that state, we now, with open face, behold the glory of the Lord, yet still it is through a glass darkly, and we have not the clear and full view of things as will be hereafter:

"For there shall no man see me and live: if there was to be such a revelation made of the grace and goodness, and glory of God in Christ, as it really is in itself, it would be too much for mortals in the present state to bear; it would break their earthen vessels in pieces; the full discovery therefore is reserved to a future state, when these things will be seen as they are, and men will be in a condition to receive them; otherwise we find that men have, in a sense, seen the face of God in this life, and have lived; though many, and even good men, have been possessed with such a notion, that if a man saw God he must die."

"For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation." (2Corinthians 5:19)
12 months ago: Adopted by the Ministers and Messengers of the general assembly which met in London in 1689... Chapter 2: Of God and of the Holy Trinity...

"...3._____ In this divine and infinite Being there are three subsistences, the Father, the Word or Son, and Holy Spirit, of one substance, power, and eternity, each having the whole divine essence, yet the essence undivided: the Father is of none, neither begotten nor proceeding; the Son is eternally begotten of the Father; the Holy Spirit proceeding from the Father and the Son; all infinite, without beginning, therefore but one God, who is not to be divided in nature and being, but distinguished by several peculiar relative properties and personal relations; which doctrine of the Trinity is the foundation of all our communion with God, and comfortable dependence on him.
( 1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Exodus 3:14; John 14:11; 1 Corinthians 8:6; John 1:14,18; John 15:26; Galatians 4:6 )"

12 months ago: I agree with what you have written. Truthbrary, tell me more about the Holy Spirit and proof that He is a person?
12 months ago: Jesus said... "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:24)
12 months ago: Note, Jesus didn't say that the "Father" or "Son" or "Spirit" was spirit... He said that God is spirit...
12 months ago: The Holy Spirit Is a Person
The Holy Spirit can speak (Acts 8:29,
29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go near and overtake this chariot."11:12, Acts: 13:2 the Holy Spirit said "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.")—though some people don't think the Holy Spirit can speak because they think of the Holy Spirit as an impersonal force, or simply a presence.
12 months ago: Listening to the Spirit

Take time to listen for the Spirit. Don't wait for an audible voice—He rarely speaks audibly—but listen as He speaks through the Word. Learn to understand what many call "the prompts" and "the checks" of the Spirit. You can experience these because the Spirit, as a divine Person, has taken a personal interest in you. Have you ever thanked Him for that?

From this event we can see that lying to the Holy Spirit is the same as lying to God; therefore, the Holy Spirit is God.
There is more Scriptural evidence that the Holy Spirit is God. We see from the Bible that:
 The words of God are the words the Holy Spirit inspired.11
 We are the temple of God because the Spirit indwells us.12
12 months ago: ." It is not simply affirmed that he was flesh, but that he was made flesh, implying that he had pre-existence, agreeably to John 1:1. This is in accordance with the doctrine of the Scriptures elsewhere. Hebrews 10:5; "a 'body' hast thou prepared me."

My understanding is that the Word who was Spirit, became flesh, and He ascending into Heaven in a Glorified body: (just like we who are in Christ will)

We've established that Christ's resurrected body, before his ascension, was quite normal in appearance. But what is Christ's "glorious body" like? We are given a picture on the Mount of Transfiguration: "There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light" (Matthew 17:2). The Transfiguration appears to have given us a preview of Christ's glorified body.

John describes the glorified Christ he saw in the present Heaven:

I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man," dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades." (Revelation 1:12-18)
12 months ago: Consider one of the apostle Paul's reports of encountering the glorified Christ on the road to Damascus: "A great light from heaven suddenly shone around me. And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?' And I answered, 'Who are you, Lord?' And he said to me, 'I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.' Now those who were with me saw the light but did not understand the voice of the one who was speaking to me....I could not see because of the brightness of that light" (Acts 22:6-11, ESV).

Before the Word became flesh He was Spirit, You said that the Farther was Spirit and of course the Holy Spirit is a person and a Spirit.

The Glorified Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ...will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

Php 3:20 For our citizenship is in Heaven, from which also we are looking for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Php 3:21 who shall change our body of humiliation so that it may be fashioned like His glorious body, according to the working of His power, even to subdue all things to Himself.
12 months ago: The Incarnation of Jesus Christ

The word incarnation does not occur in the Bible. It is derived from the Latin in and caro (flesh), meaning clothed in flesh, the act of assuming flesh. Its only use in theology is in reference to that gracious, voluntary act of the Son of God in which He assumed a human body.

In Christian doctrine the Incarnation, briefly stated, is that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became a man. It is one of the greatest events to occur in the history of the universe. It is without parallel.

The Apostle Paul wrote, ''And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh . . . " (I Timothy 3:16). Confessedly, by common consent the Incarnation of Jesus Christ is outside the range of human natural comprehension and apprehension.

It can be made known only by Divine revelation in the Holy Scriptures, and to those only who are illumined by the Holy Spirit. It is a truth of the greatest magnitude that God in the Person of His Son should identify Himself completely with the human race. And yet He did, for reasons He set forth clearly in His Word.

Mat 28:19 Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
