Kevin Lantry, my personal trainer, is the best strength and conditioning coach in Woodinville, Bothell, Redmond, and Kirkland, Washington. I have been working with him for the past 6 months and have seen fantastic results. The training is brutal, but completely worth it.

I've had a great experience with Kevin – I'd recommend him to any person who wants to get back in shape. He's been involved with baseball his entire life, which matched my background. I used to work out a lot in college, but with two kids and a slowing metabolism, I ended up needing a little help.

He doesn't just focus on the number of reps you can curl. Kevin, a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist, designed me a custom workout plan, which focused on functional training and corrective movement training.

Functional training focuses on "real-world" exercises: the goal is to improve muscle strength and conditioning so that your body is performance-ready – in a realistic way. Most gyms have weight-training machines that only exercise muscles in a specific, artificial way. Functional training focuses on corrective movements, which allow people to exercise in ways that will help your daily life. What's the point of having big biceps if you can't even move a sofa?

Kevin understands corrective movement training and functional training. In my case, he developed a plan around my old baseball injury – my left ankle is a little weak – so he designed an exercise routine that is healing it and making it stronger.

If you need a personal trainer in Woodinville, Bothell, Redmond, or Kirkland, Washington, Kevin Lantry is your man. Personal trainers can be hard to come by, but Kevin really knows his stuff.

You can find him at the Woodinville Gold's Gym, by calling 425-481-4334, or by visiting his website.
