This week the Saint Petersburg Times took Scientology to task in a big way by publishing a three part feature on the controversial movement and its leader, David Miscavige. "He is one of the most capable, intelligent individuals I've ever met,” said Marty Rathbun, once a high ranking executive in Scientology, now an outcast and apostate, a liar according to Scientology spokespeople. “A liar and psychotic “insists Tommy Davis, one of the lead spokesmen for the movement who drove home his point by screaming and bounding his fist according to audios released by the Times.
Scientology; which has been attempting to portray itself as a benign, helpful organization in the Tampa Bay area is very displeased with this latest flap. Many executives were in town last week to “handle” the Saint Petersburg Times story, even to the point of allegedly buying up all the papers in Clearwater and surrounding areas to try and soften the impact.
Scientology produced “evidence” that their ex executives were lying by providing testimonies from current members of Scientology, spouses and family members were brought forward to testify that the ex members were removed from their posts because they in fact beat people up on a regular basis and that David Miscavige is too slight and frail to hurt anyone. Utter and complete lies. “This guy (Rathbun) is a f*ing lunatic. I’m getting a little angry here!”

The Times has devoted a large amount of space for Scientology to tell their side of the story. I think they have shown as always that they are an accurate source of information on an organization which has a history of deception . Congratulations to the Times, JOE CHILDS and THOMAS C. TOBIN and everyone on the Time’s staff who made this story possible.
