There's Gotta Be More To Life

What I want to know is... is there a book "Chicken Soup for the Chicken Soul?" Are we so caught up in this life that we have forgotten the point? Exhaustion takes the place of exhilaration, and vacation seems to be the only relief from our inevitable destination...
...what are we afraid of... reality?

The "Preacher" in Ecclesiastes (in the center of a complete Bible) called it "Chasing after the wind" ...like the illusive rainbow, our search for fulfillment and happiness seems tied always to what we cannot have, or cannot afford. SO we toil, and we trouble and eventually we boil and bubble... over the things that matter little or nothing at all. But what do we really have to do with the rest of our lives anyway?

"I have seen everything that is done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and a striving after wind." (Ecclesiastes 1:14)

Would it be such a sin to relax and enjoy life for once... I mean life, not the things we can buy or borrow... like fresh air and possibly a walk in the rain. You know how it was, before life got all grown up and you had bills... taking walk instead of a drive, and some quiet instead of noise... maybe the way God intended it to be, at least one day a week. Would it be so bad? Maybe God might join you, like He did for the first people He created in the garden... ever wonder why He didn't place them in a city?

I have been walking to work a couple of times a week... no, not all the way from home, but I get a ride within twenty minutes or so from work... and it helps me remember, how I got here... and more again what it's all supposed to be about. I walk by a road where I first prayed for God's provision... and where I received the answer, God is good. Is life supposed to be so complicated? Are people supposed to be so anxious? What would it hurt... if we just let go... and let GOD take it for a day?

"No one on their deathbed ever says they wish they had spent more time at the office"
...they also never asked for a Domino's Pizza either... the point is when it's your time...
there'll be no more asking, wishing... only praying. Don't be a stranger to the one who gave you life... and make your peace with Him, well before you take your final destination to His house... if you do, you"ll find "heaven" a bit closer and sooner than you think !:]

13 months ago: The nuances that declare the beauty of life in a single fleeting moment are so subtle that most people ignore them all together. There is much happiness to be discovered in this world, so much so that if this life were the only one to live that, that would be enough for me to be thankful to God for allowing me to live it.

Yet I know in the recesses of my mind that there is so much more, oh so much more, so much, so that a billion lifetimes could not a lot me the time necessary to discover them all, so I rest my hope upon the faith I have in the living son of the creator God. The promise recorded in John 3:16 that was spoken some two thousand years ago resonates in my ear as clear today as when it was first spoken. Yes, there is more to life, so much more. It is a pity that most feel the need to blind themselves to the Gospel that is whispered in the flutter of a butterfly's wings are that is aspired in the wisp of a passing flower's sent.
