I disagree that people don’t rally around Obama. I believe Obama has and is receiving an unprecedented amount of support, even despite the radical changes and decisions he has had to make. America is still very much in love with “Yes we can.” If we weren’t then I guarantee that there would be mass rioting in the streets. It is a distorted picture of Obama’s waning popularity that we are presented in the media. It is not just FOX NEWS © either. It is every major news outlet that is distorting the truth and they are doing so for the very reason that they presented Obama in such a favorable light during the elections, for ratings!

The news is failing to report that Obama won by an average margin, not a dramatic one. I believe it was over 37 percent of Americans that did not vote for Obama. These people did not immediately become Obama supporters just like 9/11 war protestors didn’t just rally behind Bush. The Conservative think tank that has coalesced since the election is not a new group of former supporters gone rouge. It is the same former protesters that now have a name and a pulpit via the fickle media. Their cause is only as real as having an excuse to be pissed. Why? Because of who their supporters and backers are. Insurance companies and MD’s while on opposite sides of this issue philosophically are on the same side economically because they both are able to find massive loop holds by which they can extract massive amounts of money from the American people.

So you see it is those people that are rallying the voice of the opposition but that opposition is no more clued in to the real problems now than they were before the election. The difference between now and then is that now they have been given a more feasible reason for rejecting Obama. A reason found in a promises he made to the American people and that is healthcare reform. Their complaints are not about any one issue in particular. Their complaints go deeper then that. They represent the class of Americans that feel that America as it was before all the minorities and liberals came in is slipping from their grasps. They don’t like change because their values are based on a narrow scoped W.A.S.P.ed ideology.

Sort of like the whole religion argument that keeps popping up here on rant rave. For example Altruist and I have very similar views on ethics, morality, the environment, education, employment and it is not because we’re both liberals, although I will admit it may appear that way. It is because these are the right things to do. I don’t do good because I wake up in the morning and say gosh I’m a liberal, no I do good because it is the right thing to do. I suspect that Altruist feels the same way. Don’t you Altruist? This should surprise every reader now because he is not a Christian and I am. The preconceived ideas about Christianity say that Christians have to be narrow minded but that is only true of Conservative Anglo Christianity not of all Christians.

And it is that narrow scope of Anglo Christian conservative minded people that are being unduly spotlighted as the voice of America. They are just one voice of America and the only reason they are yelling is because they are afraid. For the longest time they bullied every other non them around and now they are not in that position of bullying and they feel that the ones they oppressed will now repay them eye for an eye. They don’t get that we are not them. That what we seek is equality and our chance at the American dream. The rest of America even us Hillary Democrats are saying with one loud accord, “Yes we effin can, dang it!”

We are holding Obama up to his promises to represent all of the American people and as divers a landscape as Americans are we are not expecting a lot. We know the pie has to be split many ways and we are okay with that, The fringe lunatic extremist right isn’t because they’ve been accustomed to eating the damn pie all by their effin selves but we are not like that. We are going to wait for our little slice. The media will not report that because they want to publish drama, because drama sells but the fact is that the mass hysteria that was Obama fever is still there. It is just not being reported on! So yeah, I disagree that people did not rally around Obama. I believe Obama has and is still receiving an unprecedented amount of support. It is just not being reported on.

Thank you for reading!

You live in a effin dream world.

You and Obama and the rest of you liberals have no clue how the real world works, and it it steams you bad. You liberals work hard (you believe) and you envy those who have made it big.

You liberals have chip on your shoulder, because you are unable to make it on your own. You think you are smarter than everyone else in the world, and it IS NOT FAIR that others get rich because they are successful.

What don't you and Obamaramajama and the rest of you liberals take your effin ball and go home.

And a racist is the one who ALWAYS makes the color of one's skin as a factor.

You and Al are the only ones talking race.

I am stirred from my reverie to remember what should have been the Inaugural Poem. I wrote it well before then, but having grabbed a few pages of Game Change, see now, more than ever the foolhardiness of the dog that caught the fire truck, and the minions that urged him to do it.

You are much more articulate than I.

24 months ago: He was an empty suit inflated by the hopes of those whose slights, mostly imagined, by "the Man" he mistook as an anointing from on high.
I read a very interesting article the other day by a physician, who, though not seeking office, lamented the fact that there are so few doctors in politics.
His reasoning and conclusion were remarkable astute.
He cut right to the heart of the matter (no pun intended) as to the fundamental difference in training, world view, and conduct between doctors and lawyers.
The concept of Primo non nocere, or "First do no harm", applies to all complex systems which rarely benefit by intervention.
A doctor understands that the self regulation built into such does a far better job of righting itself than clumsy outward attempts at manipulation. Intervention is always a last resort.
In addition, doctors understand the cost of being wrong...that a misdiagnosis can cost someone their life.
Therefore his interest in the "truth" of a matter is a bit different than a lawyers, for whom, as the writer so eloquently penned, the truth is generally viewed as nothing more than they can get a jury to believe.
24 months ago: Gregoire, primoris carpo viaticus is the politico slogan.
Time to hold them to their past. Talk future primoris carpo viaticus while explaining your past primoris carpo viaticus.

Hard to combat.

What I like about Obama is that he doesn’t just move his mouth. He moves the rest of his body as well. Funny thing is that people were critical of George W. Bush for the same reason, for sticking to his guns, literally, and not backing up from his war on terror. He made it his priority. Did he have all his facts straight? Nope! But at least he had the cooperation of the nation. Obama is facing a lot of crisis that have been handed down to him not just from Bush Jr. but from Bubba and Senior and the Alzheimer president and the peanut farmer, etc.

But all you right-wingers can do is character assassination. This is what makes me confident about not becoming a Republican because Republicans don’t change. They don’t try to help make this a better world. All republicans ever do is gripe about the other party and when they are in power increase the national debit and fatten their wallets. Mud sling all you want fellas but every person with common sense can see that the man is doing more for this nation in one year than any other president has done in a long time. We are going through complex times fellas and your nation could use your support not your scorn. The critical person never helps he just aggravates a situation.

The right may well be guilty of many shortcomings, but the overarching defect of the left is the childish notion that if something is either repeated of believed desperately enough, that makes it so.
No, you will not legislate utopia. But you may just end up helping us all live in shacks made up of left over tin Coca Cola signs.
