There is no question that racism is a problem. However whenever racism is discussed, it is usually with regard to statistics that demonstrate exactly how much of a problem it is. How many blacks are in prison, are single teenage parents, don't go to school, and/or can't get jobs, etc. Rarely does the discussion turn to the problem that causes the resultant problem of racism - white privilege. Check out the posted video of renowned white anti-racist Tim Wise on white privilege (approx 58 minutes).

31 months ago: TCG,

Perhaps you can shed some light on how Mr Wise is a racist? I've read some of his statements; for example:

"White privilege is being able to have a husband who was a member of an extremist political party that wants your state to secede from the Union, and whose motto was "Alaska first," and no one questions your patriotism or that of your family, while if you're black and your spouse merely fails to come to a 9/11 memorial so she can be home with her kids on the first day of school, people immediately think she's being disrespectful."

31 months ago: So, is what you are saying is that all racism stems from white privilege?
31 months ago: No, liberalism has put blacks are in prison, encouraged single teenage parents to not go to school. Liberalism has kept individuals from getting jobs.

You are the one stuck on race.

Do you mind changing your name to HeyNoni?
31 months ago: I just don't like rascism in any form, I am personally offended by BET. I am serious, I feel alienated by double standards. It really bothers me, why is the double standard okay? Why is Black Entertainment TV okay and not White Entertainment TV not okay. I feel they are both alienating.

Rasicm just needs to end, period in all forms.
