Just the other day I was on the infamous Youtube, browsing through the most recently viewed videos section. I saw a lot of interesting vids, from this weeks American Idol results to the "Sun Drop It Like It's Hot" video everyone is talking about.
I then came across a comment on one of the American Idol videos. The comment was referring to American Idol Contestant Thia Magia, and someone by the name of Charice. The comment stated "Thia is Amazing, but Charice is Marvelous".
I thought to myself, who is Charice? If she is marvelous, why haven't I heard of her. Now I not only love to sing, but I love to listen to good performers. So naturally I had to search her name in YouTube and hear her sing.
I couldn't believe my ears! This 15 year old girl was singing Whitney Houston's "I have nothing" better than even she can! After doing some research I found out that this girl has been singing almost her entire life and is said to have been in almost 100 singing competitions.
She began to gain worldwide recognition when a supporter under the name of "FalseVoice", started posting a series of her performances on YouTube. Since then she has been the first and only Asian singer in history to land in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 album chart.
She has performed duets with many artists including the amazing Celine Dion. Oprah Winfrey referred to Charice on her show as "The Most Talented Girl In The World", and from what I have heard so fare, I have to agree.
I have never in my life heard anyone sing so good. She can sing live with no problem, and listen to an album and sing it back without missing a note!
She has also been cast in the hit Television Show Glee, as Sunshine Corazon. In an ABC New interview, David foster talked about Charice's ability to mimic other people's voices.
In a separate video interview, Josh Groban stated that Charice's voice was the best that he had heard in a long time. The New York Post called her a "Vocal Prodigy", and Ryan Murphy, the executive music producer of Glee stated, "When that girl opens up her mouth, and angel flies out."
So, what do YOU think? Is Charice truly "The Most Talented Girl In The World?" You won't know until you listen to her sing. I promise you won't be disappointed.
