This weekend is our annual family get-together at my sister and brother-in-laws house on the Little Buffalo River. They have the distinction of owning a piece of land that has a bluff overlooking the river with a protrusion of rock that juts out over a swimming hole. Due to its shape and appearance it is called “Turtle Rock”.
Reports have the river in fine swimming form and preparations are underway for another 4th of July party and pig out with lots of family and friends gathering for food, games, fireworks and libations with a smattering of conversations and debates thrown in for the shear joy of speaking to others.
I encourage you all to have a get together on a regular basis with your kin and friends alike, you won’t regret it.
