Tea Party 201

On the following website:

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/0...

there is reported that the United States House of Representatives will pass a spending bill to send that will "preclude" funding for ObamaCare.

House Republican leader Eric Cantor is quoted.

Backbone is a good thing.

Next week, the House Republicans should repeal the tax code and pass the Fair Tax contingent upon a Constitutional Convention passing an amendment to the US Constitution forbidding an income tax from here until eternity.

The next week, pick any federal agency to dissolve, like the EPA. In no particular order. Then dissolve the FCC, then the VA, then the DOE (energy), DOE (education), DOT, Social Security Administration, NPR, etc.....

All the while, the House Republicans start advertising the costs incurred of every United States Federal employee and bureaucrat (except National Security) in the whole, wide world.

You now have completed the course in Tea Party 201.

Your final exam is 1 test.

Who gave you your freedom?

G-d in Heaven ____

or

Government _____

15 months ago: That's true they will be.
15 months ago: They better do it.
15 months ago: Why can't you folks spell God? Is that like a sin or are you so afraid of your deity that you can't even write his name?

Since God doesn't seem to be in charge of my daily life, I won't be picking that one and since the other one works for me, I won't pick it either.

My/Our freedom was given to us by those that came before us, those that bled and died to free us from those that would oppress or enslave us. The actual historical record is thousand of year long (if not millions) and has too many names to list.

The one department you should have listed for immediate disbanding is Homeland Security.
15 months ago: By "you folks" I mean anyone who won't spell it out.
15 months ago: Our rantrave leading poster believes it is in appropriate to spell out G-d, so, I do it for him. No other reason.

I cannot argue with you on the rest, but, it had to start somewhere.
15 months ago: That isn't much of a reason. I want to know WHY!!!!? Fear of retribution from your God? Fear of ridicule from other who believes like you do? Fear someone will accuse you of blasphemy? Some document demands you not use your God's name in its entirety? Give me a reason based in something other than that one.

15 months ago: The Tea party should be getting angry with the Republicans because they are doing Nothing about the number one issue they said they would concentrate on - Jobs.

So far they have passed a meaningless repeal of health care without coming up with any alternatives.

They have changed the schedule so they take a week off for every two they work.

This next week they will only bring up 5 bills, 4 without debate, and the fifth will have 10 hrs. debate on whether oversight committees should conduct oversight. http://thehill.com/homenews/house/142563...

On their first day in office the Republicans broke almost all of their promises about openness and ending the Partisan gridlock. http://thehill.com/homenews/house/142563...

During the campaign the Republicans promised to cut $200 billion, then when they looked at the unpopularity of slashing Social Security and Medicare, and being unwilling to cut the military, they pared that down to $100 B. Now that they are actually in office they pared that back to $32B. Good Job Guys! Only $1.37Trillion to go to balance the budget!

As far as the Unfair tax, when people see that this joke will increase the tax burden on the already suffering middle class while giving their Gazillionaire sponsors millions more, it won't get out of committee.

The only thing the party of small government is focused on, is to make the government more intrusive by killing women who's lives are threatened by pregnancy.
15 months ago: Uh..... Al... Obamacare destroys jobs.

Less time government is in session, the better. No problem on that one.

You don't need to debate on coming in out of the rain Al.

H3LL NO, WE WANT PARTISAN GRIDLOCK FOREVER, OR UNTIL ALL THE LIBERALS ARE SENT PACKING. Partisan gridlock is FANTASTIC. WE want it Al.

We absolultely agree $32,000,000,000 is not enough.

Your abortion statement is a flat out lie Al, and you know it.

15 months ago: Red if you read anything but the corporate propaganda you would know that just about everything the Republicans have told you is a lie.

If there are any jobs lost due to the Affordable Care Act it will be minimal. In fact in the future we should hire a lot more doctors and nurses and others in the health field (the fastest growing job field). http://factcheck.org/2011/01/a-job-killi...

You are probably getting your "Facts" from emails. The facts are that almost all of the 26 "Facts" in your emails are lies. http://factcheck.org/2009/08/twenty-six-...

Interesting that you still think that Partisan gridlock is a good thing. 9 out of 10 people in a recent poll wanted the two parties to work together to solve the country's problems and 2/3rds don't want the kind of government shutdown you advocate. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-10...

Face it Red, the American Public is already getting buyers remorse because the Republicans can't do anything (especially create jobs). They can't even pass an extension of Bush's Patriot Act to protect our country. http://thinkprogress.org/2011/02/08/patr...

We libs love that because it means Bush's big government policies won't be as intrusive and oppressive and destroy our freedoms anymore.
15 months ago: Al.

I am uncertain what "corporate propaganda" is...but, if I am reading it, it is called rantrave.com

I understand you cannot comprehend the process of hiring employees. But when the costs are too high, you don't hire people.

The facts come from simple laws of economics and physics.

Again, you have no idea what teapartier's are thinking. We want this socialist state that started with FDR dismantled. IMMEDIATELY. Once all that is done, Government can go back to protecting our freedoms from abroad and answering to us.

You reckon Bush's Patriot Act will pass today?

Regarding "Bush's big government", I could have sworn Barry was President.
15 months ago: This nuke the government thing smells like tyranny -- when this dude or any other crackpot out there wants to destroy the government, it sounds like they are trying to destroy our government.

Oh, maybe that is driven by what, a belief that the power brokers who run the corporations and are just 1% of the population, and therein control those government representatives we faithfully elect every 2-4-6 years, doing the bidding of the powerful?

Or is it driven by a belief that life is good under the corporations, that they feed you, house you, slake your thirst and waste, sell you toilet paper, diesel, shoes and mattresses all the while hiring you for cheap (if you're lucky) to make this stuff, and that government gets in the way of this whole process and we need to therefore get rid of government?

So long as we live in a Plutonomy, we the people should use the government as much as possible to fight back and take control of that which we elect. Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha!!! Take control of the government to fleece the power brokers who used us over and over like farm animals, generation after generation: that's a good one! With what power? Cell Phones are the new pitchfork! Aw, Vodophone killed my service!

Tarp to Tier transitions are on the way!

15 months ago: You are right Red I have no idea how they think because Tea Partiers rarely do.

Obama is about as close to a socialist as an ant to a giraffe. All of his advisers are from wall street and his policies benefit business, and he has killed anything that even looks liberal, like the carbon tax, and a single payer health care system that costs half what the insurer based programs cost. He has given more tax breaks to business than Bush ever did and has made the business environment much better so that Wall Street is doing wonderful. In fact if you look at policies Obama is very similar to BUsh. http://www.economist.com/blogs/freeexcha...

The big businesses are awash in profits and are just sitting on trillions instead of hiring. Most of the problems with the country come from the super rich not paying their fair share, and the big businesses not hiring.

The Tea Party not only wants to destroy the government and all social programs, they also want to repeal most of the Constitution so only the 2nd and 10th amendments are left, blacks and women can't vote, and only the landed gentry has any rights.
