Spiderman has saved the day again, not from Octomom, but for an autistic child in Thailand. The 8 year old was scared because it was his first day at a special needs school, so he climbed out onto a third floor ledge. The teachers were frightened for him, so they called the police.

A fire fighter, once hearing of the incident and the mother's report that the child loves superheroes, quickly rushed to the station to grab his Spiderman costume, which he uses for school fire drills. He donned the costume, approached the boy on the ledge and told him that "Spider-Man is here to rescue you, no monsters are going to attack you and I told him to walk slowly towards me as running could be dangerous."

What an awesome fire fighter who understood the best approach to helping the autistic boy. I applaud his ability to think outside the box, and focus on helping the child. It makes me want to place the Bangkok Fire Department on the highest rank of Fire Departments across the world, sorry NYFD. It also makes me feel a bit more excited to someday travel to Thailand, to maybe get rescued by Spiderman from a spicy bowl of Tom Young soup. Here I come!
