White minority cannot trust the South African Police force.
During the transition of 1994 many 'guerrilla' freedom fighters, some with no more than primary school were taken into the police force. These were soldiers that were at war, hated whites and made it their purpose to kill. They were taking into the police force and army. The Police force is 90% black and supposed to protect the people they fought against. The facts show otherwise, sixteen years after the dawn of the 'miracle' rainbow nation....
Dockets go missing when 'whites' are victims. Perpetrators are 'helped' out of prison by officials...
Affirmative Action the sugar coated 'positive discrimination' became a weapon of revenge. South Africa is the only country in the world where Affirmative Action is used by a majority against a minority. One million whites left the country of which six hundred thousand are unemployed or living below the poverty line in shacks, according to Afriforum, a civil rights initiative. Go do your sums. The government tells the world four percent of whites are unemployed of the 'four million'. We are looking at anything between thirty and forty percent. So why lie? As long as the SA government can feed the world these 'statistics', the longer they can continue with their race based policies which are long gone, not what they were intended in the first place.
Coming back to the police force.
During Farm murders, city attacks the attackers sometimes wore police uniforms, drive official vehicles when committing crime, and blue lights to pull over cars late at night.
It is obvious some of these people do police work as a 'day job' and criminal activity for some 'extra income'. And let me state, this is not 'just criminal activity' but revenge, hate and racism. Nothing more, and nothing less.
I ask you. If you are a minority and things like this happens to you, will you trust the police?
Seems when you are a white minority of about two and a half million, with the black majority of forty four million then racism is not a trait that belong to one race. South Africa is that proof. It is the power hungry, selfish and those with power that are the most prone to racism. Did the world not learn over a period of time? Seems the world is re-inventing the wheel because some country's never asked the question, what will happen if 'we' are the minority. South Africa shows that when whites are the minority, black people can just be as guilty of racism when their in power. And the rest of the world seem to have thought we entered a new era of 'enlightenment' as humans. Think again....
These things will not go away until black people can shout as loud against these incidents, as it is expected of whites to do so when whites were the perpetrators.
Black people are still silent when these things happen. Is it guilt? Is it agreement in silence? The same can be said about people in other countries allowing what is happening in South Africa by turning a blind eye. Or, do we still need to go through some major change in the world, before people speak out on issues equally, no matter who the victim is?
Here is a few examples and believe me there many. I do feel sad for leaving out so many news reports of victims, as there are some far worse, but I do not have the time to write everything down. I do not think R&R will allow me such a long example either. All you need to do is go do research yourself and the world opens up. Main stream news is not facts but watered down news to please everyone. In other words news for sheep.
Open your minds, and your eyes.
Vanderbijlpark – A Heidelberg woman says she was pulled over by two "policemen" in Murray Street in Southgate on Monday, and told: "You're cheeky and it's going to cost you your life."
Madelene Diedericks, 37, says she was threatened by a man in a police uniform as she was on her way to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital to visit her sister, when her nightmare began.
"These days I drive to the hospital from Heidelberg every day to visit my sister, Meisie Joubert, 47. She was involved in a car accident on October 30 and has been fighting for her life in the Intensive Care Unit at that hospital ever since," she said.
"On the Vereeniging highway, two men dressed like Saps members drove behind me in an unmarked black VW Golf with blue lights in the front window."
Pulled over
According to Diedericks, two other "policemen" in a white Ford Focus, also with blue lights, pulled her over near the Southgate shopping mall, supposedly because they were looking for drugs and stolen vehicles.
The men in the Golf drove past and later turned around, but didn't stop.
One of the men who'd been driving in the Ford ordered Diedericks to get out of her brand new Nissan 4x4 bakkie, after they presented cards to identify themselves as police officials.
"I refused, because they were being aggressive and I didn't feel at ease, despite the fact that they showed me police identity cards."
According to Diedericks, one of the men pulled her out of her car and became angry because she apparently remained standing too close to the car door.
"Then he wanted me to switch on my car, supposedly to see if it was a stolen vehicle. (He) pressed a firearm to my head when I again refused."
Hit with firearm
It was then that he apparently told her she's far too cheeky and that she will pay for it with her life.
"Meanwhile, another motorist had stopped behind us, hooted and motioned with his thumb in the air, as if to ask if everything is okay."
Diedericks said it was then that the "policeman" hit her over the head with his firearm, nonchalantly climbed into the "police" vehicle and drove off.
According to Thivhulawi Tshilate, Heidelberg police spokesperson, the Mondeor police are investigating a case of attempted hijacking.

http://www.beeld.com/Content/Suid-Afrika... Pretoria - A physiotherapist from Centurion was attacked by a gang reportedly led by a Tshwane metro police officer on Thursday.
The robbers trampled on her and choked her until she started vomiting blood and left her for dead, but she managed to crawl about 50m to her neighbour's house for help.
The metro police officer was apprehended in Pretoria West at around 11:30, nearly two hours after the attack on 25-year-old Elaine Cahill at her parents' home on a smallholding in Raslouw.
On Thursday afternoon, with bruises clearly visible on her body, Cahill tearfully told how two men showed up at the house, pretending they wanted to look at an outbuilding which they wanted to rent.
Two more men showed up a while later.
Sprayed with pepper spray
Two of the men were wearing security guard uniforms.
Cahill took the men to the outbuilding leased out by her parents, Billy and Erna Cahill.
"Just as they were about to pay the deposit, they forced me to the ground and pressed a firearm against my head.
"They said they'd shoot me if I didn't keep quiet. My hands were handcuffed and they tied my feet together with a belt. Next I was sprayed in the face with pepper spray and then they trampled on me.
"When they were done with that, they wrapped a jacket around my head and choked me with shoelaces," Cahill related.
Vomited blood
"I squeezed two fingers in between my throat and the shoelaces so I could breathe.
"They let go when I started vomiting blood. They left me like that to choke to death."
According to Cahill, she didn't move for a while, but then started crawling to her neighbour, Das Pillay's house, about 50m away.
When she reached the wire fence between the two plots, she was able to free herself and climb over the fence.
In the meantime, the robbers had pressed a firearm against the domestic worker's head and plundered the house.
They took medals, jewellery, a champagne bottle and a GPS among other things and shoved them in a sports bag.
Metro cop implicated by other suspects
Pillay phoned the police and a security service. When the robbers heard them approaching, they dropped the sports bag, shot the glass out of a sliding door and fled. They climbed over the wall.
Apparently the security service guards found the metro police officer at the crime scene. He showed them his identification and they let him go.
The metro police officer was implicated by one of two other suspects who were arrested near the crime scene. The police were then warned by radio to be on the lookout for him.
He was apprehended by members of the police's flying squad at a scrap yard in Pretoria West.
Console Tleane, spokesperson for Tshwane's department of community safety and liaison, said the metro police officer is believed to have used his service pistol during the incident. He allegedly also supplied his partners with old Coin security company uniforms.
http://www.news24.com/Content/SouthAfric...Secunda - A seriously wounded woman from Standerton, her mother, and the 12-year-old daughter of a friend are currently in fear for their lives, since the police took the woman's suspected attackers to her flat, and later also to her mother's house for an "identity parade".
Wilma Coetzer, 23, told on Sunday how she and the 12-year-old, whose name is being withheld, had been walking home from Shoprite with their groceries on Friday at about 18:00, when two men attacked them near the NG Church in Cullinan Street.
"I felt a tug on my handbag and then something hit me hard in my face. I yelled at the girl to run away," said Coetzer. One of the men set off running after the little girl, but turned around when she ran into the offices of Kasselman Security and Zelatech, where Coetzer works.
Kasselman's security guards ran to Coetzer's aid, where she was fighting againt her attackers as they tried to drag her to a dark area near the church.
She sustained head injuries in particular.
"They hit my head continuously. I can't remember everything that happened, but I realised they would easily be able to rape and kill me once they got me to that dark area, since nobody would be able to see us there from the road. That's why I fought so hard."
Beeld has heard that the security guards arrested the suspects and handed them over to the police.
"I was taken to the doctor, and the police said I should wait until the next day to give my statement," said Coetzer.
Cops were waiting
However, two Saps members, presumably reservists, were waiting for her at her flat - along with one of the suspects.
They wanted her to identify the man. The 12-year-old girl, who was so deeply traumatised that she only told her mother about the attack the next day, found herself face to face with the suspect.
"Tannie, I'm scared, because now they also know where I live." the little girl apparently told Coetzer's mother, Ria Coetzer.
Ria arrived at her daughter's flat on Friday night while the police and suspects were there.
"I took Wilma to my house and gave her painkillers and a sleeping pill."
Coetzer's cellphone started ringing at about 22:45. "Someone called to her to come outside. When I opened my front door, the same two policemen as before were standing on my veranda."
No ID
Apparently they wanted to take Coetzer to the police station in their vehicle to give her statement, but didn't want to identify themselves to her.
"They said, at that stage, both the attackers were in the police van in front of my house. When I confronted the policemen about it, the one policeman said: 'Don't worry, they do not want to harm you'."
Ria took her daughter to the police station herself to give her statement.
Coetzer was given a case number and was told to contact a detective, but the cellphone number of the detective went unanswered for the entire weekend.
Coetzer's alleged attackers will appear in the local magistrate's court on Monday.
Joseph Hlatswayo, police spokesperson, didn't know about the incident on Sunday, but did agree to follow the matter up with the station commander on Monday.
http://www.news24.com/Content/SouthAfric...Pretoria – Heavily-armed men in police uniforms tied up a Mokopane (Potgietersrus) farmer and his family and repeatedly shocked them with stun guns on a farm this week.
The eight attackers also pulled plastic bags over the heads of Okkie Malherbe, 63, and his wife Emmerentia, 53, from the Olem agricultural concern on the farm Doelen. Malherbe's granddaughter, Kaycee, 5, was hysterical during the attack.
Malherbe's son, WD, 34, said the attack lasted about two hours, "but it felt like forever. There was murder in their faces."
WD said he had come for supper on Tuesday evening at his father and stepmother's. Shortly after 19:00, an Isuzu bakkie and a Toyota Corolla with a blue light on the roof, had stopped in front of the farmhouse.
Three of the eight men were wearing police uniforms. The rest were "neatly clothed, like detectives".
"We thought it was the police and then I opened the door. They pointed semi-automatic machine guns at me."
WD said the attackers told them they were police officers from Gauteng and were investigating illegal firearms.
His father asked to see identification and the men quickly waved about "a piece of paper and cards".
"We could see these weren't police IDs and said we were going to call the police. They then pulled on their Balaclavas."
They asked for money and keys to the safe. The attackers tied up WD, his father and stepmother and also tied the hands of his sister, Zia, and her daughter Kaycee.
"They told me to lie on my face on the sofa. We weren't allowed to speak and every now and then felt a firearm against the head."
WD said the attackers shocked them, but not Kaycee, several times with stun guns.
The men took his father to a nearby building from where the family ran the Limpopo Meat Packers business. He gave them the keys to the safe. They took his shoes and pulled a plastic bag over his head. They took R120 000.
They attackers forced him back to the house and took him and his wife to their bedroom.
A plastic bag was also pulled over his wife's head.
"They were choked. I felt like I was going crazy when I heard that but I couldn't do anything," said their son."
Employees of the Malherbes who stayed in a flat near the main house, suspected something was wrong and activated an alarm.
"They fled when the alarm went off. They took my bakkie, but later left it on a farm road. My father and stepmother's cellphones were also stolen. We feel vulnerable, what should you do if people with police uniforms and a blue light stop near you? How should you know who you can trust?"
Provincial police spokesperson superintendent Ronel Otto said a special task team had been appointed to look for the attackers.
http://www.news24.com/Content/SouthAfric...Johannesburg - Two men were arrested for impersonating police in Johannesburg's CBD, police said on Thursday.
Inspector Xoli Mbele said three men wearing police uniform were confiscating fake compact discs and DVDs from street vendors at the corner of King George and Noord streets at noon on Wednesday.
They allegedly stopped an off-duty police officer and demanded he show them the person who supplied him with fake discs.
The officer asked to see their appointment certificate which they failed to produce.
The off-duty officer called on four policemen in uniform to help him and two men were arrested while the third one fled.
They would soon face charges of common robbery and impersonating police in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court.
http://www.news24.com/Content/SouthAfric...Pretoria - Two men wearing police uniforms and driving a marked police vehicle hijacked a father of three on Thursday.
After driving around with Piet Erasmus for hours, he was forced onto his knees at the side of a road. He expected to be shot, but the hijackers fled when two teachers drove past.
"They saved my life. The hijackers would've shot me there and then if they hadn't driven past," said the 51-year-old Waterkloof Ridge resident.
Erasmus says it was about 06:00 when he saw the police car, blue lights flashing, behind him just north of the Murrayhill off-ramp on the N1.
He stopped and got out of his car. Two men in police uniform, wearing reflective jackets with the word "Police" on it, got out of their car.
'That's when I got scared'
The driver politely asked Erasmus to open the boot because they were looking for a car similar to his.
"The other man searched my briefcases.
"The next moment the driver shoved a 9mm into my ribcage. The other one touched his firearm.
"I knew I was in real trouble when the back doors of the police car opened and two men in civvies got out. That's when I got scared."
The two men grabbed Erasmus' keys and made off in his Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 (registration number YNV?717?GP).
Erasmus was bundled into the police car, where he was forced to lie on the back seat with his head in the lap of one of the men. They told him to close his eyes and drove around for about three hours.
Military precision
He says he prayed for the entire time, recited verses from the Bible and thought of his wife Marlene and his children Pieta, 8, Arlene, 6 and ten-week-old Alyssa.
The hijackers took his watch and R1 200 from his wallet; shared the money and gave back the wallet.
"They said if I co-operated fully, I'd be OK.
"They were talking on their cellphones all the time."
Erasmus says the military precision with which they committed the crime, shows it wasn't the first time they'd done it.
'Kneel, close your eyes'
The hijackers dropped Erasmus off next to a road outside Hammanskraal at about 09:00. They ordered him to kneel, close his eyes and bend his head.
"I waited for the shot, wondering where the bullet was going to hit me."
But two teachers driving in the opposite direction, Jeseline Lekalakala and Fransiena Mausela probably saved his life as the hijackers fled in the car.
They took him to the Hammanskraal police, where he laid a charge.
The police did not respond to Beeld's enquiries.
http://www.news24.com/Content/SouthAfric...Johannesburg - A mother-of-three was allegedly "repeatedly" raped by two uniformed policemen in Kempton Park in the early hours of Sunday morning.
When he heard about it, Martie Olivier's husband, Sarel, went to the Kempton Park police station and assaulted various police officers on duty before being brought under control.
He said they were unable to lay a charge of rape later that day because the police refused to take their statements.
Although rape victims are not normally identified, the couple gave permission for their names to be published.
Nightmare
The couple's nightmare apparently began shortly after midnight. Olivier said he and his wife, 29, were at a braai at his parents' house in Birch Acres on Saturday night, after which they went to a nearby pub for a drink.
Olivier said that on his way home, he drove into a driveway and out again as he made a U-turn. A marked police van suddenly stopped in front of the couple's Toyota Run-X.
Two men in police uniform climbed out of the van and moved to the driver's side of their car before yanking the door open, he said. They then allegedly threw him into the back of the van without explanation.
"One of the policemen approached me and asked what I was prepared to give them in exchange for my husband's release," said Martie.
She gave him the R400 she had on her.
However, the man asked: "Do you really love your husband? Is there nothing more you can do?" He then allegedly climbed into the driver's seat of the Toyota and drove toward the Kempton Park police station. The police van followed, she said.
Olivier, who was in the police van, said: "About 200m from the police station I noticed the car pulling off the road, but I thought nothing of it. It's the police after all."
At the police station, the policeman driving the van opened the doors at the back and told him he had been caught driving under the influence, but that he was free to go.
The other policeman arrived shortly afterwards in the Toyota with Olivier's wife in the passenger's seat. When Olivier climbed into their car, she told him she had been raped.
Traumatised
"She appeared traumatised and I could see her underwear had been torn," he said.
It was then that he attacked police officers with bare fists. Olivier's hand was still bandaged on Monday.
"When I returned to the car, my wife was gone. I thought she had run away."
She allegedly lost consciousness when one of the policemen slammed her head into the dashboard while her husband was inside the police station. There were two policemen in the car with her when her husband was inside the station.
She said she came to on a lounge floor in an unfamiliar house. Her next recollection was of a security guard who woke her in a flowerbed at Boston Business College.
"He asked me why the police had dropped me off there. I couldn't give him an answer," she said.
After hours of searching, Olivier said he saw his wife in a traumatised condition walking from the Boston Business College at "exactly 07:20".
Injuries
He immediately took her to the police station, after which she was medically examined at a nearby trauma centre, where evidence of a rape was found on her body and dress. She also had visible injuries.
When Beeld saw her, she had an enormous bump on her forehead.
"I have scratch marks and bruises between my legs and on my body. In our car there was also blood from the first time I was raped."
She was given anti-retroviral medication to protect her against HIV.
The couple laid charges of rape, assault and bribery on Monday.
She told Beeld: "I don't remember everything exactly. I was so nervous when I had to lay the charge. I didn't even want to go there. I don't trust anyone now," she said.
She is, however, determined to "stay strong", adding: "Who knows who will be next on their list?"
Incoherent
Gauteng police spokesperson, Superintendent Eugene Opperman, said on Monday that Martie Olivier "was too incoherent" for police to be able to take down her statement after the alleged rape.
Opperman also said Olivier could remember "too little" and couldn't provide enough information.
She was, however, medically examined and the couple's vehicle was also searched. Charges of rape, assault and bribery were finally laid on Monday morning and the couple's statements were taken.
"The case is now being investigated," said Opperman.
Police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Vish Naidoo added that charges of this nature were regarded in a very serious light.
http://www.news24.com/Content/SouthAfric...Pretoria - A 29-year-old woman says her life is ruined after she was allegedly raped by a policeman while being detained at Rustenburg police station.
'I'm not human anymore. There is just nothing left of me," said the woman, who prefers to remain anonymous.
"I don't have a life anymore. I've lost everything. My life is ruined."
The woman, who has an 18-month-old son, is the second reported case of an alleged rape by members of the police in the last two weeks.
Detained
She was arrested on September 29 after her former fiancé had apparently laid a charge of theft against her.
She had been detained in the holding cells. When she asked to go to the bathroom that night, she was escorted by a policeman. Once there, he allegedly struck her across the back with a thick rubber pipe and then raped her.
The next day, the charge of theft against her was withdrawn.
A few weeks later, on October 25, two uniformed police officers allegedly raped 29-year-old Martie Olivier, a mother of three young children, in Kempton Park.
Olivier's nightmare began when her husband, Sarel, turned into the driveway of a house and then reversed to make a U-turn, according to the couple.
A marked police van stopped in front of the couple's car. Mr Olivier was pulled from his car and thrown into the police van.
One policeman got into the driver's seat of the couple's vehicle, with Mrs Olivier still inside.
When they arrived at the Kempton Park police station, Mrs Olivier told her husband that she had been raped.
ICD investigating
Delia de Vries, of law firm De Meyer & De Vries in Johannesburg, is representing both women.
Moses Dlamini, national spokesperson for the Independent Complaints Directorate, said they find these two incidents extremely disturbing, and are conducting an investigation.
No arrest has been made in connection with Olivier's case yet, while four policemen from the Rustenburg police station were arrested on Friday in connection with the rape of the other woman.
The four arrested policemen - an inspector, a constable and two student constables - have since been released and are to appear in court again soon. They have not been suspended.
One of them allegedly raped her while the others were aware of what was going on, but did nothing to help her.
An identification parade will take place on Wednesday.
"The police are supposed to protect people," said Dlamini. "You don't expect members of the police force to rape people in holding cells. No person should experience misfortune while in police custody."
http://www.news24.com/Content/SouthAfric...Gang rape of white men in holding cells in South Africa is a type of war crime.
Gang rapes of white victims in holding cells in South Africa take place on a regular basis and are only reported when some of the victims sue the police and government.
These gang rapes by black inmates in holding cells committed on solitary white victims, are in fact war crimes, acts of aggression in a sexual manner, under conditions of coercion intended to humiliate and degrade the victim, and has nothing to do with sexual gratification.
These white men are usually arrested on spurious charges. Some are arrested for speeding, even though many deny they were in fact speeding. Some are arrested for outstanding fines. Some are arrested for being witnesses to other incidents, one was arrested for crimen injuria which he denies took place. What they all have in common is that they were put in holding cells with large crowds of hardened black criminals who then proceeded to rape them. Some of these men also reported that the black police egged the rapists on to rape them.
Black african males in South-Africa view themselves as victors of a racial war, and view these white men as members of the conquered tribe. In the Congo for example, the Bantu often rape the Pygmies, and sometimes eat the Pygmies as well. Maybe they do both to the same Pygmy, first rape him and then proceed to eat him afterwards. The Bantu claim that they gain supernatural powers by sodomising the Pygmy.
"Wimpie, a white boy who was dabbling with dagga, is put in our cell. I don't know how old he really is, perhaps 16 or more, but he looks no older than 14, with skinny arms and short, spiky-crowned, brown hair."
"The 28 gang give him a chocolate bar in the morning and it's obvious what his eating of it preludes. Still, it is strange how even the minds of paedophilic rapists seem to demand some sort of mechanism by which they can excuse their crimes. They've given him a chocolate bar and they are going to enjoy having him repay the kindness."
"He tries to fight, and so they hit him. His resistance stops abruptly when one grabs the back of his head and smashes his face into the steel bars …"
"The 20 take it in turns to rape him. It goes on for more than eight hours, almost the whole night. The boy does everything he can, in his pathetic, limited range of action, to try to deter them, but he is ignored. He screams, he cries, he begs, he tries to bargain, he prays."
"It is in the morning, though, that I am forced to see what life has coughed up before me. What's left of Wimpie is lying in a corridor between the bunks, just in front of my bed. He is still naked, shivering in a pool of his own blood where they have discarded him. I will literally have to step over the small body to go and eat my breakfast."
This is a description by Gayton McKenzie, a hardened gang member, of the rape of a young white teenager only known as Wimpie. Where is Wimpie today? Probably dead of Aids, or suicide, as so many male victims of gang rape. If he is alive he might be homeless, addicted to drugs or alcohol as many who do manage to survive the experience. Their lives in ruins around them.
A Diabetic man aged 52 from Primrose, Germiston is suing the minister of security for 4.3 million after being illegally arrested twice and being raped in police custody the second time. He was put into a detention cell with 30 black inmates at the Witbank police station. He described how four men carried him around naked in the cell while the rest sang and danced. The man became so emotional, the court had to wait for him to continue with his testimony. The inmates forced him to kneel over a rolled up mattress, then they proceeded to sodomise him until he later lost consciousness. The case against him was later withdrawn.
Polokwane (Pietersburg) – a local man who was sodomised repeatedly while in police custody lost his job, due to the emotional trauma, and deliver pizzas now to stay alive and keep food on the table for his family. His life is totally in ruins after the attack. Bouwer was on his way home from a friend's house when his left tyre burst and he hit a light pole and a stoplight. He was taken by ambulance to the Polokwane hospital where he was arrested, and despite being injured in the accident taken to holding cells. He demanded his rights to a phone call but was turned down. In the cell were 25 inmates. Eight of these black men attacked Bouwer and repeatedly raped him. Some held his arms and forced his face into a pillow while they were sodomising him. He was only allowed to call his lawyer the next day when he was finally released on bail. His medical bills were in the thousands of Rands.
Vryheid – A Vryheid game rancher was being sodomised in a police cell while the inmates were singing, the Pietermaritzburg High Court was told on Wednesday. Game rancher, Etienne van Wyk, is claiming R1.2m from the Minister of Safety and Security. Van Wyk and Duvenhage were put into the Hlobane police cells after they were arrested for transporting Van Wyk's game animals without a licence. The suspects in the cells charged with the rape were all hardened criminals predisposed to violence.
A Cape Town businessman was sodomised while in the holding cells in Wynberg magistrate's court. He later sued the state for damages. The 57 year old professional was arrested and later acquitted. He was held in a cell at Claremont police station over a weekend and later transferred to holding cells at Wynberg for his bail application. At Claremont "I was in a cell with a man who screamed at me non-stop that I was a ****ing (wit vark) white pig, I was terrified. After being transferred to Wynberg the man said as soon as the doors to his cell closed he was attacked by a group of men, some armed with knives, who pulled his clothes off and sodomised him. There were about 30 people in the cell and once the door was slammed shut you couldn't see in or out. There was nothing I could do. All these guys were holding me down. I had no chance. "Your life just basically goes for a ball of ****. I've always been a placid person but nowadays I just scream and shout. In 18 years, my partner and I never had a fight, but now everything has changed. The man, who is self-employed, said he couldn't tell anyone what had happened to him in the cell, but he was haunted by the incident.
Then there are some who never leave these holding cells alive. Like Peter Wheeler a building contractor who was kicked and beaten to death while in custody in Grabouw. According to reports the police told the black criminals in the cell to "teach the white man a lesson."
Deaths in police custody increased by 15% – press release 26/09/2009
Cape Town – Deaths in police custody rose to 912 in the past year. This is according to the Independent Complaints Directorate. But the ICD says though the figure was up from 791, it could not be read as a sign of an increase in police misconduct. The directorate's Francois Beukman says when considering the cases carried over from the previous year, the ICD had just more than 11,190 cases to deal with.
According to the Mail and Guardian of Feb 13 2008, More than 800 KZN cops were under investigation for crimes ranging from assault through to rape and murder.
Rape as a strategic weapon of war
The word itself is derived from the Latin "rapere" meaning to steal, seize or carry away.
In ancient wars and societies, male rape in times of war was considered an absolute right of the victorious soldiers to declare the totality of the enemy's defeat and to express their own power and control.
It has been used as a weapon of war and a means of punishment in many non-Christian cultures. In the military context, there was a widespread belief that when a victorious soldier emasculated a vanquished enemy and sexually penetrated him, the victim would lose his manhood and couldn't be a warrior or ruler again.
T.E.Lawrence or Lawrence of Arabia was, for instance, raped on the orders of the Ottoman governor by Turks and exhibited all the classic symptoms of the male rape survivor.
Workaholism, depression, anger, increased sense of vulnerability, destructive self image, emotional distancing.
Effects of rape on the male psyche
Rape Trauma Syndrome (RTS) has only been recognised and described in the past two decades. This affects all victims of sexual assault even if the rape hasn't been completed.
Even verbal sexual aggression without physical coercion, often experienced by prisoners can leave the victim psychologically damaged.
For male survivors of physical rape, the disorder is likely to be severe and often life-threatening.
Males perceive that few other males are victims of sexual violence and that makes them very isolated.
Then on top of so many other issues, males face the unique situation in that they feel "tainted" by homosexuality.
This is one of the main reasons few men report being raped. Especially if the aggressor succeeded in getting a physiological response of involuntary ejaculation from the victim.
The victims feel that their identity as a male has been compromised or totally destroyed. This is usually the motivation of the rapist.
Suicidal impulses are so common among males who have recently experienced rape, that any victim should be presumed suicidal until a mental health professional determines this not to be the case.
Disasociation is a defense mechanism which can be employed during painful physical or psychological abuse which is impossible to escape. It is a survival technique and provide feelings of leaving one's body, making the trauma harder to remember.
The first stage of RTS is usually charachterised by the following symptoms.
Numbness, withdrawal, slurred or inaudiable speech and denial or disbelief of the experience.
Some victims are visibly upset and highly emotional, sometimes extremely stressed and terrified with feelings of helplesslness and vulnerability, shame, humiliation and extreme embarrassment.
Concentration may be lost, the memory even impaired for a time. This stage can last for a week.
The second stage is characterised by the same symptoms as the first week and then some new ones.
Feelings of worthlessness, self blame for the victimization and the sense of being a failure.
Disturbances in sexual functioning, personal boundaries are confused, relationships are conflicted.
Fear of going insane.
Social isolation since the victim fears he is totally alone and cut off from normal society.
Ambivalence towards females.
Resistance to intimacy.
Due to normal physiological responses like involuntary erection or ejaculation, the victim can feel he might have deserved to be assaulted.
During the third stage, the suppressed rage surfaces and may lead to violent aggressive behaviour.
Obsession with vengeange.
Belligerence to authority since it is usually in an institution, for instance a jail cell where the rape occurred and the victim was at the mercy of his aggressors due to being let down by those supposedly in authority.
Substance abuse is common.
Aggressive assertion of masculinity, including rape in some cases.
Of course the worst aspect of this is that the victims are often given a life sentence as many are infected with Aids. This might be another reason why the rape occurs. To infect the victim deliberately with Aids. Another war crime in this genocide of whites in South-Africa.
