I want to know what you all think.

I personaly don't think he should be, he focus on small things that don't matter. I know he came into a tough sistuation, but come on its been three years. I think he cares more about his image thing the country, but who know's it could have been worse (an other 4 with bush). He said he wanted to give everybody health care, but now wants to take it away. What ever happen to pulling the troops wright when he took office? oh thats right wait 3 years later. Its like how do you end a war, start another one? He keeps letting gas go up without even trying to drill of shore because of the Golf of Mexico incident. Yes he did not cause all the problems, but he is just a horrible leader. He has never came through with his promises. Our economy gets better for a day then fails the next. whats up with that?

SO should he be reelected? I don't think so.

Even though he's up there in age McCain should have got the job.

I think the only reason why people voted for him is because he is black and they wanted to mack history, just saying.

America needs change now, we can no longer wait and watch as are beloved country falls more and more. Hey at least we have the best miltary in the world.............. At the Moment..............

I also have the utmost respect for the men & women in the military, it is not their fault that we are constantly fighting a perpetual war. But our huge military presence necessary to serve as world police is one of the main factors driving us to insolvency.

Back to Obama...the hard-line Democrats will vote for him regardless of how many campaign promises he has broken, because they will never, ever vote for a Republican. This blind party-loyalty makes me ill. Talking to anyone that votes strictly on party lines every single freaking time is like talking to a brick wall. Republicans are the same way. Of course those with no party affiliation, the independents that voted for him last time, are more likely to vote for a challenger.

The problem is, no decent challenger has emerged. The Republicans will likely put up Romney, if he isn't somehow discredited between now and RNC. Palin is too busy riding the train just to stay in the spotlight, keeping people guessing as to whether or not she is going to make a go of it. I doubt she will, but given the intelligence level she's displayed publicly, she might just be stupid enough to try.

Let's not forget that Obama has said "not a day goes by that I'm not focused on your jobs". He sure has a funny way of showing it, doesn't he? If he put as much effort into that as he does, let's say for black-tie fundraising events, then maybe that statement would be a little more believable.

Regardless of how badly Obama has failed as a president, if the republicans' best offering is Romney, Obama can and will likely win. An independent or third party candidate could emerge, but this will only take votes away from the establishment candidates, further increasing Obama's chances.

Already the White House is in full campaign mode, going back to using the tired & overused "we inherited this mess" line. Sure, he inherited it alright, but has made it even worse. He has not brought troops home and now has gotten us involved in Libya, but I don't hear any Democrats screaming about this the way they did when George & Dick were running the show.

So yes, I'd say his chances are pretty good.

WE need a younger Ralph Nader or a Paul Wellstone who can shift the arguments back into real world solutions to the world's problems. Right now all of the political pressure is pushing everyone to the right, and all of their solutions would be like throwing gas on the fire.

48% of the people in the country are now afraid we are heading into another major depression. Yet the Republicans driven by the Tea Party Radicals are willing to force us into a depression by destroying our economic base and credit rating by not extending the debt limit.

They are using terrorist tactics, demanding that medicare be killed and that the millionaires receive another trillion dollars in exchange for promising to make payments on things the Republicans have already bought.

If you look at the official Republican budget, it would kill medicare, cost 700,000 jobs, and slow down the economy another 2%. http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/heat...

If you look at Pawlenty's budget plan it would add 7.8 Trillion dollars to the deficit! Here are the main points of the Pawlenty plan, which he outlined in a speech this morning in Chicago:

A hidden tax increase on the middle class
A massive personal income tax cut for millionaires and billionaires; Citizens for Tax Justice estimates the plan cuts millionaires' taxes by at least 41%
A massive tax cut for corporations — including Big Oil — that would cut the corporate rate by more than 50%
A complete elimination of the estate tax, capital gains tax, and tax on dividend income
A cap on total spending that would necessitate severe cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and other government programs (except for defense, which Pawlenty has taken off the table in favor of slashing Social Security instead)

What we need is a true liberal, willing to get the millionaires and the corporations to pay their fair share, willing to end the wars and bring our troops home (each of which costs a million a year), willing to set up a civilian conservation corps to put the chronically unemployed to work planting trees to replace those destroyed by global warming, willing to put carbon taxes in place and invest in clean energy to put Americans back to work and become leaders again in innovation.

And that's all right with me because then he can continue to pilot the ship of state over the falls and we can get on with the 2nd American Revolution for which so many of us have been preparing for so long.

Since all the psychotics on the left are UTTERLY AND CONSTITUTIONALLY unable to conceive of such a thing as a revolution happening in our time, they will be caught unawares by the onset of hostilities, dissolution of the Republic and subsequent fall of western civilization and starve in what archaeologists a millenium hence will call the "Great Culling". Since I am busily preparing for the event and subsequent period of lawlessness, I and mine have at least a chance of surviving while many of my favorite foes here at RR will perish. That alone will make it worth it.

Obama Biden 2012 sounds great to me.

The Republican House and the filibusters in the Senate can keep any jobs from being created and destroy the economy in an attempt to keep Obama from being re-elected. Getting rid of Obama is the stated number one goal of the Republicans, and they are willing to destroy America to achieve that goal.

It is your fellow revolutionaries, that are using terrorist tactics to hold America hostage. If they don't get their way they kill Medicare and eliminate all social programs so they can give another trillion dollars to the rich, then they will destroy the nation economically by not extending the debt limit.

48% of the people now believe we are heading to another great depression because of the republican austerity programs, and because they are unwilling to do what is necessary to create jobs and help the economy.

To keep us from a depression we need another stimulus to create jobs, but that will never happen when all but 13 Republicans have pledged never to raise taxes for any reason, despite the fact that we are now in two and a half wars and that 81% of the people want tax increases on the rich.

Talk about psychotic! I don't know what drugs your dealer is giving you, but if you think you are going stock up on arms to start your own little war against unarmed civilians, and the government, than maybe they should put you in a rubber room instead of just prison.

The rest of the world is learning that change can come about with peaceful protest and through democracy, and you and the rest of the terrorists have had your day.
11 months ago: Bin Laden destroyed.
Most mid-east countries in revolution, demanding human rights and democracy.
The depression Bush drove us toward at full speed, thwarted.
Kids parties on the White House lawn.
Some of the White House grounds used for common gardening of fresh veggies.
When the Legislature (and probably big money) would have us lead the attack on Lybia, Obama handed it off to NATO, greatly reducing the USA cost in that conflict.
A first flyer at National Health Care - an area that no president or legislature has even attempted.
Getting us out of Iraq.
Progress toward and a plan for getting us out of Afghanistan.
These and more are removing the USA as the "bad guy" seat.

Historians will look at the Obama administration and rate him as one of the best, given the fact that he was handed the most serious basket full of terrible problems that any president had ever had, with the possible exceptions of Washington and Lincoln.

He prevented us from entering another great depression and saved the auto industry. He handled all of the many problems intelligently and he tried over and over to make bi-partisan compromises. Perhaps that is his biggest fault. In trying to compromise with those not willing to give an inch, he gave away way too much.

FDR embraced the hatred of the rich corporate elite, and worked for the betterment of the vast majority of the people and he was one of our most beloved of presidents and was rewarded with 4 terms (the only president to have that honor).

Obama compromised with corporate elite and received nothing in return. He is still perceived as the most anti business president in history even though he has given numerous tax breaks to business and has his entire staff that is pro business. He is perceived as a tax and spend liberal even though he has given more tax breaks and has cut spending more that 98% of past presidents.

Because Obama started all of his negotiating positions from the center, all of his policies have ended up right of center, and that has turned off a lot of the REAL liberals in his party. Any time we see polls with Obama's favorability it includes those who think he has gone too far but also a lot who think he has not gone far enough.

Look at his health Care proposals. Instead of starting with the single payer system that works all over the world at half the cost, he started with a Republican idea, and wouldn't even allow a public option, thinking he could garner some of their support. Instead he received no support so we are stuck with this abomination that profits the insurance companies. All his compromising achieved is to brand a right wing program as socialist. Why not go for the gold?

Most of the things that Obama is being judged for, are out of his (or any president's) control. He has little control over unemployment because Congress refuses to pass job bills, energy bills, or to overhaul our revenue sources. Obama can't do much about fuel prices, and that is driving up prices of everything. And Obama has trouble getting credit for anything because of the full time propaganda machine on the right that condemns anything he does.

Our nation and it's many problems would be much better off if everyone pulled together. As it is we have half of the country trying to solve problems and half of the country throwing gas on the fires.

What Obama needs is a Howard Dean making common sense proposals from the left. That will push Obama back to the left where the real world solutions to the problems are.

It doesn't matter what Obama does, or the many things he has achieved. He will be perceived by half of the country as the worst president we have ever had simply because he is black.
