I am pretty good at ranting I suppose. It is easier to be a critic
than to actually do something which helps everyone in my opinion. So I
decided the best thing to do was to write a rave. This is a positive thing,
you know upbeat and all. There is however such an over abundance of ranting
material available. What could I come up with to rave about?
One of the first things to come to mind was a surprise birthday
party. That had to be it! Surprise parties are great, you, laughing with
your friends, presents and good food. In fact I thought, surprises in
general are pretty great. I like it when my wife gives me a sexy surprise
after our daughter has gone to bed. That, I thought is a nice hot sexy
surprise ….but then I remembered that warm summer day at the county fair
when I entered the pie eating contest and slammed head first into Mrs.
Martinez’s prize winning “Chicken Jalapeño Perfecto” pie. Now that was a
HOT surprise but it was certainly not sexy. In fact six hours later it got
pretty ugly in the bathroom!
Well surprises may not always be wonderful but they are always
exciting right? I mean, they are always quick and exciting are they not?
After considering this I decided there was evidence otherwise. Like the
time we got our invitation to the family reunion. We were quite surprised
to see it would be held in Chamanew Mexico. Well we thought this must be an
exotic place so why not do something different. We were again surprised at
how far a drive it was to reach this place and this surprise lasted the
duration of the trip. When we reached the place we were surprised to find
it was a one donkey town in the middle of nowhere and we were obviously the
first ones to arrive. Another long surprise came when no one else showed up
and we determined something had gone amuck. Our greatest surprise came when
we discovered that there had been a typo and the reunion was not in
Chamanew Mexico but rather Chama New Mexico.
Well after some thought I decided it might be hard to rave about
surprises in general but there are many things for us to rave about
everyday. Like birthday parties, laughing with your friends, good food,
warm summer days and county fairs, family reunions and certainly sexy
surprises from your spouse after the kids go to sleep. Oh yea I can even
rave about a certain exotic one donkey town in the middle of nowhere named
Chamanew. Hey you know what life is good!!
