Australian Senator Nick Xenophon raised some serious concerns regarding the organisation calling itself the Church Of Scientology in the Australian Senate yesterday, listing a string of crimes and abuses reported to him by concerned Australian citizens, many ex members of the organisation.
Nick Xenophon also questioned the tax exempt status the organisation calling itself the church of scientology has in Australia; Australia is reviewing how it grants tax exempt status and may introduce a system that does not automatically grant tax exemption to organisations claiming to be religions.
The crimes and abuses reported to Nick by ex-members of the organisation calling itself the church of scientology include:
murder, and coerced perjury to cover up
manslaughter, and coerced perjury to cover up
perjury during investigations in to deaths of two young girls,
child sexual abuse,
coerced abortions,
false imprisonment,
organised beatings and torture,
forced hard labour,
sustained physical and mental abuse,
credit card fraud,
abuse of confessional (audit) for bribery and blackmail,
deleting records related to suicide victim,
embezzlement of "church" funds and
hate crimes against gays and lesbians; the details of which can be read in the link.
All this regarding the organisation calling itself the church of scientology that currently promotes itself through the front group Youth For Human Rights in TV adverts around the world.
As Nick Xenophon says it is time this organisation was investigated in Australia and around the world, there are too many sickening stories to ignore any more.
