"Richard John "Rick" Santorum (born May 10, 1958) is an American Republican Party politician. He served as a United States Senator representing Pennsylvania from 1995 to 2007, and is a candidate for the 2012 Republican Party presidential nomination."

"Richard... Beautiful heart. Kind, usually reserved about sharing his feelings. Although he is able to communicate well, he feels much more deeply than he speaks. Only those that are close to him will ever really know him... A strong, powerful force, a positive energy, other men are always questioning, "what's so great about Richard?"..."

A few years ago Dan Savage attacked Rick Santorum's name by trying to redefine it, which we won't give much time to... it is time to see the real man that Dan Savage is phobic about. Rick Santorum is a powerful man that doesn't mince words and says it like it is. A family man with a view to a stronger nation and future for sustainable families and education. Not so pressured by special interest groups, Santorum stands for what the majority of Americans stand for.... defending the constitution and not trying destroy the very foundation America was built on.

When considering Santorum's opposition... in my opinion the only thing that Obama had, is something now he has lost... his color. I qualify that with his actions. What got Obama elected was his unique humble, and moral stand that he promised to continue.... a man to represent minorities without corruption; but unlike Santorum, Obama has capitulated on all the moral and legal issues that undergird the nation.
His support of certain organizations have pitted him against the common people... redefining traditional values while destroying the authority of the constitution.
Obama has failed his people and his nation....
makes you wonder where his roots really are?
Makes one wonder why all his personal records are still sealed...

To define Santorum, a strong man of conviction, a man for a time as this...
it is time to get back to healing a great nation that has been raped and pillaged by her own leaders! Rick Santorum is just that man. Some may not like what he has to say,
but then again they can be sure that he is not a "fearful puppet" in the hands of those who financed his position. What you see is what you get, Santorum is not a phony. Wouldn't it be great to have a man of morals to lead the nation?
Separate Church and State... but don't cut the heart out of national decisions!

Santorum: defined as a leader of moral conviction, and logical action!

"When Barack Obama was campaigning for president in 2008, he declared that marriage is between a man and a woman. For the most part, his position was treated as a nonissue.
Now Rick Santorum is campaigning for president. He too says that marriage is between a man and a woman. What a different reaction he gets.
There's no mystery why. Mr. Santorum is attacked because everyone understands that he means what he says.
President Obama, by contrast, gets a pass because everyone understands—nudge nudge, wink wink—that he's not telling the truth. The press understands that this is just one of those things a Democratic candidate has to say so he doesn't rile up the great unwashed." The Wall Street Journal, columnist William McGurn

I'm not living in a glass bubble.
I've seen what the Party has done to Americans.
How is he going to stand up to the thugs and make a difference?
26 months ago: Sunny,

Rick Santorum differs a lot from the 'good ole boys' club seen in George W. Bush, Santorum is neither ignorant nor arrogant... he if any has the guts to stand up to pressure from within and without. Even though Rick Santorum is questioned on his faith he is unashamedly open, without double talk, while having the presence of mind to contextualize his statements when he is "cheap-shot" by the media.

26 months ago: I like what Rick Santorum said about the presidency...

"2008 I think the American people.. you know.. wanted a President who they could believe in. And I think after 2 years of that, what they've realized is that America needs a President that believes in them."

...that is the critical difference between Santorum and Obama... Obama is riding on his American idol status - while Santorum is trying to fix a broken country!
26 months ago: He's my man...unless Mitt beats him....then (and only then) Mitt's my man.

26 months ago: I like Ron Paul, it just doesn't seem that he has enough support to beat Obama in 2012... really it was Dan Savage's attack on Santorum that first introduced me to Rick Santorum, and to be honest he seems to be the strongest candidate out there. It says a lot who your enemies are and why they hate you... in the real world people hate "jelly fish" ...however in politics the opposite is true... guys like Dan Savage are phobic about guys that stand up to bullies like himself and others in his camp...
