SNL Finally Does Obama Right

Well, the criticism of Obama has ramped up a notch. This time, though, It's not the conservative radicals, it's not the threats to Homeland Security such as former military personnel, the Tea Party attendees, or even the dreaded home schoolers. This time the criticism is coming from an unexpected source, the cast of Saturday Night Live.

But unlike the conservative Right's criticism about Obama trying to push socialism on a reluctant United States, SNL proposes that Obama isn't doing enough to hurl us headlong into Nanny Statism.

And to think that when I was 18, SNL was one one of my favorite shows. I would even cut a date short on Saturday night, to rush home and watch Chevy Chase poke fun at President Ford, and hope to see the Samurai Delicatessen.

I guess François Guizot must have been right, after all.

In case they pull the Youtube video, the official link is below.

"Candy Gram"?

28 months ago: I think, even with the criticism, they are afraid to actually mimic him, considering the way he blew up over the comments about his ears.

I agree with OOTB - they made no attempt to actually mimic Obama, and after 34 years, SNL is a mere shadow of it's former self.
28 months ago: It would have been funny if he had pointed "SPOCK" ears. Otherwise it is just a mild attempt at political humor. SNL needs new writers that are not on the public doles of the publicly funded National Endowment for the Arts.

28 months ago: I remember the outrage when the Nixon administration floated the idea of a weekly government sponsored variety and comedy show. We have loads of those now. The walking death of SNL is truly a pity.
