"Rhema began singing the same time she began talking. It was less than a year ago Rhema recorded her first song, Amazing Grace and quickly became an Internet singing sensation. She takes tremendous inspiration from her mother, Wendi Marvanne, who sadly lost her battle with ovarian cancer on November 8, 2008... I see Rhema as a cancer survivor. She gives me hope for goodness in mankind. God gave her a beautiful heart and the voice of an angel. Most people that hear her sing can not deny that God does speak through a child. Her voice touches people's hearts."

Stories like this are an inspiration that God can make good of the tragedies we face in life... there is something about music that can cause us to heal. Music plays a huge part in culture, it is used for defining everything from pain to incredible joy... music can bring you down, and it can lift you to Heaven's very gate, such is the case of the singing of Rhema Marvanne.

I think that children have beautiful gifts, yet somehow they look to celebrities to model themselves after... when they are uniquely blessed. It is such a favor God, that He has bestowed on us this gift of innocence and purity... I believe that is why Jesus set a child in their midst, as the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

"He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." (John 9:36-37)

"Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."(Matthew 18:4)

I have 3 beautiful daughters, talented and smart... I love them dearly and would give my life easily for them, like other fathers would... yet for the most part they only want our time. As children are a blessing from the Lord, so are loving parents to a child... we need to find a way to bless our children, with love and security. These tender plants need tender care... children should be seen and not hurt.

These talented youth bring such an encouragement, yet sometimes at such a high cost to themselves, and many cannot survive the fame. Pray for these tender lives...
and for those many others who have lost their way.

4 months ago: My 9 year old daughter introduced me to Rhema's music a few months ago. I was blown away by the adult voice control, and yet could hear the innocence and joy still in her young voice. She is a very gifted young lady.
4 months ago: She is one blessed child, many children are uniquely blessed, but sometimes these that are made famous too young face challenges beyond their years. She is going to need a lot of support and prayers! My youngest (11 year old) daughter was really touched by Rhema's story... incredible!
