(Al. You are absolutely correct. I need to stop the bad name calling. I will try.)

You bunch of liberal/socialists/capitalism haters can finally give it up about your global warming...er...uh.... global cooling.... uh....er.... climate change HOGWASH.

On the following website:

http://news.yahoo.com/nasa-data-blow-gap...

it is being reported that NASA, using satellite data obtained for the past 11 years, confirms that our planet Earth's atmosphere is doing a lot better than you socialists claim it is doing.

"Far more heat is released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted."

Let me quote my favorite statement:

"In short, the central premise of alarmist global warming theory is that carbon dioxide emissions should be directly and indirectly trapping a certain amount of heat in the earth's atmosphere and preventing it from escaping into space. Real-world measurements, however, show far less heat is being trapped in the earth's atmosphere than the alarmist computer models predict, and far more heat is escaping into space than the alarmist computer models predict."

And algur's drowning polar bears stories appear to be not only likewise HOGWASH, but a fraud.

Yea, but taxing the rich is the way to solve all our problems anyway.

To us limited faculties tea baggers, you guys look like CLOWNS.

Na na na na poo poo.

10 months ago: Saw it on the internet it must be true. No way to spin those kinds of numbers. Course the record breaking heat/rain/snow is meaningless. Taxing the rich wont solve everything anymore then taking away the school free lunch program will, but they are the people we bailed out and they need to return the favor.

Hope your golden parachutes been packed tight RSG.

Never could figure out why the poor man would protect the rich at the expense of his own future. Must be a Tea Bagger thing.

10 months ago: What records?

You're blind Slim. Obama is leading us to ruination, on purpose.

Wake up man.
9 months ago: Great comeback..

So what your saying is Obama has been standing around waiting for the republicans to give away/spend themselves into a corner so he could swoop in and ruin the country?

That's pretty slick.

Please keep the name calling generalized, and not directed at a particular member. Instead of "Slim, you're blind" try "Slim, we didn't bail out all the rich people, only a very select few got showered in taxpayer dollars, and anyone who believes otherwise is blind."
or
"While half the country is asleep in the bus, dreaming of pie in the sky and vague feel good mantra's, the bus is being run off the cliff. Wake up, people!!!"

10 months ago: What is a Tea Bagger? Are you drawing on personal experience when visualizing the TEA party movement?
9 months ago: I guess its what the tea party calls itself. Or at least what RSG calls them.

9 months ago: I've never heard a TEA Party adherent call himself a tea bagger. I definitely have never read where Red referred to himself as a tea bagger. I have, however, heard the Liberals use the term when engaging in juvenile name calling.
9 months ago: Outta.

(I used the term to show sticks and stones may break my bones, but liberals have a serious mental disturbance.)
10 months ago: You shouldn't confuse the "James Taylor" article with the scientific paper it is allegedly based on.

The Taylor article is wrong in its premises and conclusion. However, if you were to take Taylor at his word you might assume that he believed in global warming, until he read this damning scientific paper (http://www.mdpi.com/2072-4292/3/8/1603/pdf) about temperature feedback. Read the paper.

What Taylor says doesn't go anywhere to addressing the actual climate science.

Taylor is so far off base, that it would take a considerable improvement for him to rise to the level of merely being wrong. A give away to the fact that he is a paid propagandist might be the way he repeats variants of "alarmist" around 30 times.

Taylor is senior fellow for "environment policy" at "The Heartland Institute". This is a paid propaganda position.

"In the 1990s, the Heartland Institute worked with Philip Morris to question the link between secondhand smoke and health risks. Philip Morris used Heartland to distribute tobacco-industry material, and arranged for the Heartland Institute to publish "policy studies" which summarized Philip Morris reports. " - wikipedia

Now, "Oil and gas companies have contributed to the Heartland Institute, including over $600,000 from ExxonMobil between 1998 and 2005. Greenpeace reported that the Heartland Institute received almost $800,000 from ExxonMobil. By 2008, ExxonMobil had stopped funding to Heartland. Joseph Bast, president of the Heartland Institute, argued that ExxonMobil was simply distancing itself from Heartland out of concern for its public image."

Getting the picture? These shonks have too poor a reputation even for ExxonMobil.

It is good to actually have a study you can refer to, but it would be more believable if you and Mr. Taylor refrained from making editorial comments.

I think this finding will be very interesting to all of the Climate scientists.

The way science works is that they observe data and then they make a theory explaining what is causing the observed data. Then they try to make experiments and computer models to understand the mechanisms that cause the observed data.

Unfortunately the atmospheric interactions are so complex that is nearly impossible to model. There are too many factors for the computer models to come up with an accurate predictor.

So in their computer models they had assumed that the radiative feedback was an important factor. OK so it turns out this isn't as important as they thought. That means that other factors must account for the observed increases in temperature. They will have to revise their computer models.

The fact is that the computer models have been predicting a certain amount of warming but in fact the warming has happened much faster than the models predicted. The "Tipping Points" are being reached much sooner than predicted.

This means that instead of radiative feedback explaining the the earths warming faster than expected, it could be the destruction of the rainforests. It could be the elimination of sea ice in the arctic, it could be due to Greenland or world glaciers melting sooner than predicted, it could be the permafrost releasing methane into the atmosphere faster than predicted. It could be the acidification of the oceans happening faster than predicted. All of these are tipping points where a small increase in temperature can cause a massive and quick change in the environment. All of these tipping points are happening faster than predicted and all of them would explain the earths heating faster than predicted. http://www.nature.com/nclimate/journal/v...

By the way are you enjoying the heat down there in Texas? Did the fires reach near you? http://classic.wunderground.com/blog/wea...

The heat dome wasn't enough, now Ohio is getting record rains. It is happening all over the world too. South Korea is now having the heaviest rain in 100 years. http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapc...

Don't quite understand where getting the rich to pay their fair share comes into this, except that all of the budget cuts resulting from the lowest taxes in 60 years is resulting in the loss of many science programs like NASA which we used to count on for research which allowed us to make better predictive models.
9 months ago: Yea Al.

I guess we should all have the scientists just VOTE to see what science tells us.

10 months ago: I read that Rush was claiming that there were no heat records being made. All of that heat in Texas, Red, is a liberal driven figment of your imagination.

Record arctic melting http://www.adn.com/2011/06/16/1921104/ar...

Ocean acidification happening 10-20 times faster than predicted. http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/80beat...

The coral reefs which are the nurseries of the world's fisheries are disappearing faster than predicted. http://www.news.scubatravel.co.uk/2007/0...

Scientists are generally conservative in their estimates. Instead of their being Alarmists they tend to err on not being alarmist enough. It turns out that every prediction of every aspect of Global Warming has proven to be underestimated. http://www.global-warming-forecasts.com/...

9 months ago: This new data is interesting and certainly will be looked at thoroughly by scientists.

Whether or not there is a climate change occurring, we still need to make an effort to better take care of our planet. Responsible logging, lowering pollution, embracing wind and natural gas. These things are not tied to global warming and can be applied whether or not we are all going to melt in a few years.

Given the fact that you, for the first time in my memory, have actually supplied a source and backed up your statement with complete sentences I will let you have a pass on the immature name calling.

You still used the ridiculous "You're blind" garbage...but this is a dramatic improvement
9 months ago: Granted, I am immature, but what is false about you and all your irrational hoards being liberals/socialists/capitalism haters?

You hate those of us who profit from risk and hard work while you are stuck in your union job? No?

From outside i think you right that obama is not doing good job for usa.
Climate change is rubbishs as all over history when somewheres hot somewheres else is cold.
Perhap someone explain what tea bagger is as it a drink with sugar.
9 months ago: Right on Felix.

The "Tea Party" are American citizen patriots trying to save our country from irresponsible socialist loser tagalongs. We are fed up and trying to save our children's future.

We picture ourselves like those early Americans involved in the Boston Tea Party just before the American Revolution. They were fighting against tyranny.

We are likewise fighting against tyranny. Obama and his socialists hoards think their poop does not think and they are smarter than everyone else ever in the world. (They actually look like clowns.)

We will defeat them, but the next generation of patriots will have to fight them back again.

They call us tea "baggers" comparing us to testicles.

To me that means socialists therefore don't have any.

Capice?

tax should be for all and richer you have more tax you should pay but in west more moneys you have less tax you pay.
The best line i heard ever on rantrave is Na na na na poo poo.
really make me smiles and laugh.
9 months ago: A Tea Bagger is defined as someone who lays still with their mouth open while their sexual partner dips his testicles in their mouth. the reference was made more popular by FPS (first person shooter) video gamers who, after making a kill would run over and repeatedly squat over their victims face. "Teabagging" them.
