Just a few weeks ago, we pointed out the statements made by Liz Kuebler, an American studying in Serbia, claiming that "living on one of the most beautiful streets in Belgrade, I feel at home. Skadarlija reminds me of quiet tree-lined streets in Washington." It seems that foreigners feel at home in Serbia. The latest example is a recent blog post by Pricess Madison (Madison Williams) over at iconamerica.wordpress.com. Princess Madison recently visited her Grandparents in Serbia. In fact, she lives half-time in Paris (or somewhere else in the world), and half-time in Los Angeles. She also lived in Belgrade with her Grandparents for three years (3-4 months in Serbia, then go back to Paris or go somewhere else, then go back to Belgrade and stays two months, moving again..). She also has so far visited most European countries, including Spain, Greece, Italy, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Montenegro, etc. Well, you should think she feels at home in Madrid, Paris, Vienna or Athens. Not at all.
"I like Belgrade, it’s like home for me. I feel safe and cool while walking the streets, watching the passengers. I remembered old souvenirs, and laughed a lot with Grandma, we were fine!" In fact, in this excellent blog post, Princess Madison talks about doing "some shopping in the
center of this beautiful city". It's a well worth reading blog about Belgrade. Enjoy absolutely amazing pictures of downtown Belgrade. A must see blog!
