A woman named Margret Wegner from Germany had a pencil stuck in her head for 55 years. Yes you heard correctly 55 years. Apparently she got the extra part stuck in her head from falling on it when she was 4. It stabbed through her cheek, it went into her brain under her eye, and it had to stay there…for 55 years! Why you may ask? Because of their medical abilities back then. So because the did not have the technological prowess that they do now they could not remove it until the poor woman was 59. Before she got it removed she had suffered headaches and nose bleeds since she was 4. I suppose she should be grateful that pencil did not get lodged in some more important part of the brain…at least its out now.
