"Most Satanists celebrate this as their high holy day and even offer human sacrifices to the devil. Until recently, most Christians have not questioned this traditional celebration, but rather have gone along with it by even bringing Halloween parties into the church. The earliest Halloween celebrations were not held by the early church, but the Druids in honor of Samhain, the "lord of the dead", and his demons, whose festival fell on November 1. Halloween actually means "holy or hallowed evening."

For many in this land, this day stands for the very opposite of fear!! On this day in 1517, a German monk and professor of theology, Dr. Martin Luther, courageously published the simple, straightforward truth of the Bible. God's Word, which he has rediscovered after a long and intense spiritual struggle. God used the truth of his own Word to give Luther the inner peace he had so desperately longed for. The Bible pointed him the way to God Himself, and when he found God through Jesus Christ, he found this peace which passes all understanding! He himself stated that it was as if he entered Paradise itself."
http://www.holybible.com/resources/hallo...I think that any day is what you make it... to some it is an opportunity for evil, others it is an opportunity for good. Our lives consist of more than just a day out of our lives... however given opportunity... which would we choose? For many "opportunity" is all that is lacking to do the world a great good or a great evil...
Martin Luther did just that so many years ago on October 31, though it cost him his life, we owe a great deal to this man of faith. How will history remember us? Will it remind us of how we impacted our world with good or evil? My hope for this day (October 31) and every day, is that we find some way to make a difference for the good. God Bless!
