Being less than eager for jobs bill who knows what there going to do Congress is highly unlikely to approve the jobs package this is president is moving it around promoting it coast to coast he has been pushing relentlessly from every state on his challenge to keep his job coming in 2012 Republicans don't like it's proposed tax increase some democrats are reluctant to endorse another cut in social security taxes others are wary of oil and gas prices and Obama approval rating the lowest of his presidency are making it hard for him to build any momentum when capitol hill lawmakers will return Monday from a week long break the first order of business in the democratic -run senate won't be the president's 447 billion jobs package despite his daily demands to pass it now but legislation dealing with Chinese currency manipulation Reid of we'll get to that senate majority leader Harry Reid of Nevada said of the jobs plan which he says he supports but lets get some of theses things done that we have to get done first The house of representatives the republican majority say it won't accept Obama proposed tax increased then said I can't really make sense of why the presidents thinks he should be doing this said house majority leader Eric cantor Virginia any way you look at it becomes a Hugh mess

7 months ago: People expect the president to do something - anything to help the unemployment situation. It may be too little too late and the Republicans probably wont pass it but at least he is trying.

The CBC put 40 jobs plans out there but the REpublicans refused to even debate any of them and they have refused to come out with any plan of their own to create jobs.

In fact the CBO said that if the Republicans had their way and enacted their proposals there would have been fewer jobs than Obama created and the deficit would be even larger. http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/bl...
7 months ago: Blame Obama. Can't play it off on Congress now Al. You never accepted that argument before when the Dems were the majority. You just kept on the blame Bush bandwagon. Now it's our turn to play your game. Why the change of heart now?
7 months ago: The Republican party has stonewalled improvements. Their actions are beyond, far beyond good sense. Our country is in need and they are building a brick wall to prevent improvement. Yet our country supports their position, indeed, a majority of our citizens have, by vote, created a stalling, ineffective Congress.

The duty of Congress is to create law which best uses our country's resources for our best interest. In recent times this means the Congress should make law that encourages business. We are, after all, in a Global, fast - communicating community. We are no longer in an industrial age. Law needs to update and change. Only Congress can do these things. But they stonewall and stall while our country struggles and struggles.

These are not easy issues. Modern living has given us instant communication, it has given us a planet-wide business environment. So, law has to change or the USA will fall further and further behind in this large business environment. Congress must do it, there is no other official body.

It is not up to the President to guide Congress. It is up to the Congress to best serve citizens. Those astute lawmen fail when the stonewall and offer no alternative. We have voted a dead end into place. Let us break the damn dam and elect responsive Democrats who will at least DO something!
