Our fearless leader, Barry Hussein Obama, once again proves his might and muscle, this time against the dreaded enemy, Common Housefly. Since that now-legendary retaliatory strike, houseflies have gone into hiding, only coming out for hsort periods of restocking and minor terrorism.
We the American people need to follow his example, strike hard and swiftly, and rid the world of this scourge once and for all.
So break out your video cameras and your flyflaps, rolled up newspapers and even your chopsticks (if you dare) and lets send a message to those pesky insurgents, that we, the American people, will not tolerate them any longer.
Feel free to post links to your Fly Killing Videos here.
And remember, it is our patriotic duty.

35 months ago: Wow. You guys really go out of your way to discredit and ridicule Obama. What ever happened to "If you question the President, you are a traitor"? Oh, I remember, that only applies if the President is a Republican.

Oh, you must have mistaken me with "they say", or "Them". I know "they" commonly use my given name, and I intend to take legal action.

35 months ago: It's just tiresome to hear constantly, and he's only been in office for a few months. Say what you want, that's the point of this site. But if you can't take some criticism, don't say anything.
35 months ago: That must not have been a fly from CalifornIOU or para-psychosis would be calling PETA. 1-800-FLY-KILL to complain. Byron just so you know. You are one of them. You are not one of they. They like to think them can't figure out what they really mean.

35 months ago: Heh, was that a play on my username? para-psychosis? It's a bit of a stretch, but kinda funny.

And the whole "They/Them" whatever - I guess I'm just not too smart, since I have no idea what you are talking about. I do know it's become quite a game to insult Obama personally when he's only been President for 7 months. The left gave Bush at least 1 year and a half before they started on him. I guess it just would've been nice to think the right could try not to be so hypocritical, but that's too much to ask. Enjoy the Obama/California/Liberal bashing.
35 months ago: Don't feel bad para. You are one of they and we fall into the them group. It's the way it is. Wait a few years and it will revesre and you will be a them while blaming they.

Insult CalifornIOU? Hard to do more damage than it has done to itself. Just own up to it and bite the bullet. Don't expect a bailout from anyone else in the U.S.

35 months ago: Satire is fine. It's needed. But the original rant is not satire - it's ad hominem attacks to make no real point other than ridiculing Obama. Again, that just gets tiresome.

And CG - I certainly don't feel bad. I'm amused by your attempts to ridicule me by messing with my name, insulting California, and making what you think are clever comments about "them" and "they". When you actually have an argument that consists of more than a string of absurd statements with little more value than noise pollution, I'll be more than happy to engage.

35 months ago: That CNS "news" article says nothing more than that they find out what questions are going to be asked so they can answer them - it doesn't say they are forcing people to ask certain questions. Helen Thomas didn't even object to the questions asked, she just wanted to be the one asking them. CNS is a right-wing shill that delights in making Obama look bad, just like you BW.

And the other links are ridiculing the media coverage, not Obama. But I guess that's too fine of a line for you to distinguish.

35 months ago: Hehe, CG, your troll-fu is weak. 1/10
35 months ago: No it's not. Well, I guess it might be as it only caught a minnow. However, next time you try to be pointed don't stop halfway. You should have also included..

fat beer swilling, toothless, backwood, inbred, redneck, white, honky, crackers that don't know the proper use of a cigar. Sorry, that would be Bill.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Your little village relies on government installation funds and uses a large illegal workforce? Please.

35 months ago: I bet Monica would disagree that Bill didn't know how to use a cigar. Of course, now you are crafting a strawman, creating a completely different argument to try to confuse the issue. Nice tactic, but pointless.

Oh, and, if you ever eat lettuce or produce, thank an illegal. It's not like you'd ever sink yourself down low enough to pick grapes. Or empathize with someone who wants a better life and is taken advantage of. I guess there are no illegals in Texas? Nah, that couldn't possibly be true. Of course, considering you have the worst education, and most polluted cities, that may be why you can't grow anything there besides bulls and bullcrap. Who knew if you left it out in sun so long it would eventually develop a third grade education and learn to use a computer? I'd suggest you donate your body to science, but you probably don't believe in it.

35 months ago: Paranoyd:
Your blue tinted glasses have made you blind.
Yea, you may be right that racist, African-Americans, want to get even.
Except, racists will not notice that without black slave traders, there would not have been black slaves.
35 months ago: No the topic was swatting flies. If you can't see that your out of your league.

RSG. You missed it.
An American taxpayer.

I'm betting he is thinking...
Dang, one less on the books now.

Oh and BTW. I grow much of my own food so that stupid statement doesn't wash.

Yes, CG, the point was that you eat food, not that you have no empathy for those with less than you. You win one FAIL.

35 months ago: Paranoyd, if you are still here, you will notice as you read back over the posts, that you were the first to bring race into this topic, and then tried rather unconvincingly to disparage RSG for his comments. He was simply stating a fact that there are racists in every culture and political party.
Anyone who believes any one ethnicity is immune from comment is a racist.
Any one who tries to use race as an advantage in a discussion is a racist.
Paranoyd, as you were the first to bring up race in this otherwise benign discussion, I hereby declare you a racist.
As for your comments about republicans, it is so broad, sweeping, and obviously hysterical in nature, and I know you had mistakenly aimed it at me, not knowing I am not a republican, but I forgive you anyway.

35 months ago: Actually, CG brought it in when he mentioned the illegal work force in CA, which can only mean Mexicans.

I mentioned race only in context of RSG's free person comment, since Obama is, indeed, African-American and they are not normally in the business of crushing other people's freedoms all by themselves. It looked racial (not racist, as there is a huge difference) from what RSG said, and I merely pointed out that was a bit silly.

RSG, there would be so slavery without white people buying slaves. There would be no slavery without cotton plantations. There would be no slavery without southerners. You can play that game all day - but at the end you would have to accede that there would still BE slavery if someone hadn't stepped in and stopped it. Sure, he was white, but so what. But claiming black people are the reason for slavery - just ridiculous, and an incredibly racist comment.

BW - I never used race as a stepping stone, or as an advantage. I merely responded to the asinine comment by RSG. And, BTW, I was a Republican for many years, and my family still is. So are many of the people I dealt with in the Navy when I was serving our country in the first Desert Storm. So were most of the people I worked with when I worked in a mortgage firm. And guess what? There were all the same. Maybe the rhetoric tuned a bit for their respective business, generations, or regions, but pretty much the same otherwise. So, no, I don't feel bad about the sweeping generalizations about Repubs. And one worth their weight jumped ship a long time ago, and the only ones left are exactly what I called them.

35 months ago: There are still slaves all over the world. In Indonesia it is estimated there are 688,000 child slaves working as domestic help, the vast majority of these being under the age of fifteen.
Kenya, another country of interest lately, exports 20,000 slaves each year only to parts of southern Europe, middle east, and northern Africa, and imports an estimated 30,000 slaves to work in construction, house help and involuntary prostitutes. Kuwait is one of the worst, Saudi Arabia, right up there
Slavery is so bad worldwide, that the state department issues annually its report on the current hotspots so travelers will know what areas to be wary of.
Abraham Lincoln only forced the south to free its slaves as an economic equalizer between the agricultural south and the industrialized north. The south did not secede from the United States over slavery, but rather over the constitutional guarantees of states' rights as sovereign entities. Those guarantees are still constitutionally sound, thus the threats of Texas and other southwest states to secede if their liberties get trampled on by an overbearing Federal government.
Lincoln was not assassinated over slavery, but because of his decision to print money issued by the U.S. government,(greenbacks), for the purpose of bypassing the outrageous interest amounts being charged by the Rothschild bank. Before Lincoln, all currency was issued by the banks. The government saved so much money in interest on the $450,000,000 it took to win the Civil War, Lincoln said he was going to adopt the policy permanently.
Kennedy, also had signed Executive Order 11,110 which gave the govt. power to print its own currency, starting out small with just silver certificates, but in the order, only the president could issue new silver certificates. A new beginning, nullified by Ronald Reagan in 1987.

35 months ago: Our new leader is in bed with the banks, he says one thing, and does another.
"No Wall St. special interests" ---Check out his cabinet and his czars, and their backgrounds in finance.
"Full Accountability and Transparency" ---Bills being amended (300 pages worth) in the dead of night, hours before the vote, is not what I would call transparency.
Do your homework. Don't just learn the politically correct phrases and don't get caught up in the notion that by acquiescing, you are doing something to help.
Noble and lofty goals and ideals have ensnared many a great man, who listened to the wrong people.
These forums here, while entertaining, are a waste of time. Discussion is a great thing, if you are open to another's viewpoint.
While I claim no one's philosophy but my own, I have extreme liberals in my family, and work with mostly liberals that claim the democratic party. My brother, the professor, wants to make minimum wage $30,000/year because he feels guilty that he went to college for 15 years to get a good job. He wants to price gasoline at 7.00 per gallon to save co2 emmissions, resulting in the fact that he can afford gas, but now the minimum wage worker cannot. So we have to give the minimum wage worker another raise, so he can afford gas, but then we have to raise gas prices again to cut down on consumption.
All this because of one lousy little fly. Sheeesh

35 months ago: My mother is a Republican party member. She is also involved in charity work, outreach programs for troubled youth, and the Association for Retarded Citizens.
My ex-boss is a Republican party member, and when he retired he was allowed to name his successors, and as he had many hats after 43 years of public service, the list was lengthy. Every person he installed to replace him was African American, or black Americans, as they prefer to be called here.

These people are not exceptions, just as there are reasonable, non-spittle-flecked, non-name-calling, non-hysterical democrats. There are democrats who actually think for themselves, and don't rely solely on gut emotion in their decision making process. The gut emotion reflex is the same thing a lot of democrats make fun of when referencing Christians, but look at the images of peoples faces during the Obama rallies and inauguration. If you didn't know better, you'd swear they were at a baptist tent revival.
