So we have health care and we can ask are we really at the crossroads of health care? What do we do to get this mess straightened out ?It will hurt alot of people to get health insurance it will hurt alot more if the poor have to get it ?I think there's a fine line that if your economic situation is bad enough you will be given a reprieve at least that's what their saying but you have to ask your self is it a real good idea to have everybody up in a up roar I think they should at least give each account a though checkup to see if we can afford health insurance or have some plans each could mabe choose from that they aren't sticking their necks out to much be able to fit it into the budget or not with all the bills already need to pay it and alot may already taking on more then they can afford already so I'm wondering I bet you are to where the extra money is going to come from what are the people going to do who can't afford anything anyway how's it all work? How about the people who have insurance what will this do for them hopefully it won't mess with theirs it could be they'll take a look at what you have had for years and go through it with you because I thought they said that we had to have something in the making by 2014 to make something happen so it could be a good thing or it could be a bad thing it could even change ones outlook and lifestyle shake things up I'm sure it will leave a lasting impression and where's it suppose to go from here?

10 months ago: The entire health care debate is about numbers. It is easy to say that 50 million people cannot afford health care or cannot get health care even if they can afford the outrageous premiums. It is easy to say that one third of the people in the country are denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions. It is easy to say that 65% of personal bankruptcies are caused because of health care problems or that many if not most of the homeless lost their homes because of health care problems.

We can tell each other the numbers but they mean little. They are just statistics. It isn't until you talk to the people and hear their actual stories that you begin to understand. It isn't until you have a medical emergency and loose your insurance and become one of those statistics that you feel the outrage about how the insurance companies are screwing the American public.

The health insurance industry is making record profits for the third year in a row, while they continue to increase the cost of insurance, while at the same time inventing even more devious ways to deny people care. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/14/busine...

The Republicans want to eliminate all of the consumer protections and regulations of the Affordable care act, and turn everything back to these crooks.

Most of the people don't like the Affordable Care Act because most of it doesn't go into effect for another three years. In three years the industry will not be able to deny care, and they will be forced to spend no more than 20% on administration (now 30%).

There are numerous things that the Affordable Care Act does to help people now (especially kids) and in the future. For a concise guide look at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patient_Pro...
