My Evangelizing Testimony
After going through severe trials and tribulations, in 1985 in Winnipeg, I walked down the Aisle at Cavalry temple, and was Born Again, losing absolutely everything, with two words from God, we drove down to the Gilford area BC.
In one year the Lord restored us completely, and then in my new business, I went on to win the entrepreneur of the year three times.
I have always had a heart to evangelize, and help people. I led a few people a year to the Lord. I remember in Singapore two young men on the Subway I told them about Jesus, and when I asked if they would like to receive Him and go to Heaven, they said, Yes, Yes, so they repeated the sinners pray after me.
In 2004 some evangelists from Columbia, came to speak at my church. They said:
• It is not enough to go to the cross; you have to go on the cross.
• You have to be right with God and crucify the flesh, you have to forgive, everyone.
• And obey all of the Lord's commandments.
• When Jesus begun His ministry and call His disciples, He told them, I will make you fishers of men.
• When He left this Earth, he said in Acts 1, tell people about me everywhere -- in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." It was not long after he said this that he was taken up into the sky while they were watching, and he disappeared into a cloud.
• They said that we are saved by grace, that it a free gift but then we are judged, by our works.
• They said that the road to the kingdom is narrow and few will find it.
• They told a story about a servant that did nothing with the free gift he was given. Mat 25:26; The master of the servant told him, "You are lazy and good-for-nothing."
The Holy Spirit tugged at my heart, and I said with all of my heart and soul, LORD, I WANT WHAT THEESE MEN HAVE. I WANT IT ALL!
A week later I had the opportunity to speak at a soup kitchen, I prayed "Lord if you really want me to be a Soul winner, for you, give me a sign today" while I was speaking a man was trying to get a young prostitute to leave.
I looked at her and said "sister Jesus was the lamb of God, He died for your sins" she froze and begun to cry, I brought her forward and led her to Jesus, another man also came forward, and I also led him to the Lord.
I was invited to go into the prison by Rob McGrath, and for the next three and a half years Junette and I went to the prison, I soon became very bold and was winning ten or so Souls there a month.
My wife and I now evangelize, one on one, and lead the lost to the FREE GIFT of Salvation. We are now leading fifty or so a month. And are also the reps for the Pocket Testament League, a ministry that begun in 1893.
Jesus came to this Earth to die a cruel death, on the cross, so that NONE should perish. It must have been pretty important; Hell must be a really bad place for God to send His only Son to do that.
• The Bible says, John 2:3-7, Nicodemus came to Jesus by night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know that you come from God; for no man can do these miracles which you do unless God is with him. Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
• * Proverbs 11:30.The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and the wise winneth souls.
• * Dan 12:2-3. * They that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and they that turn the many to righteousness as the stars, forever and ever.
• 1 Peter 5:2-4: Feed the flock of God among you, taking the oversight, not by compulsion, but willingly; and when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.
• Many Soul winners do what they do, because it's a passion, like fire in their bones, what I am trying to say is that we do not do it for the reward.
