I recently bought a choke hazard alcohol stove from Minibull design. For those of you who don't know what an alcohol stove is, let's run it down.
An alcohol stove is primary used for camping, to boil water to rehydrate dry food and is a good alternative to a canister stove, or a sterno kit. Denatured alcohol is used as fuel, and there are hundreds of types. Some people are familiar with the "soda can" stove, and can be built easily at home, but I opted to buy one from a small stove works in Maine, and here is why.
-It was made in America. I would rather buy an American product than an imported product anyday.
-The choke hazard is the smallest alcohol stove I have ever seen, and fits perfectly in with my camp cooking system.
-It was incredibly inexpensive. I was going to pay alost 100 dollars for a canister stove, with canisters costing 15 dollars each time they run out. I bought a choke hazard for 12 dollars, and the fuel is $1.50 a bottle, and lasts for ever.
-It is tiny, hence the name choke hazard. I can store this stove anywhere.
-The design is unique, and I can't wait to use it on the trail.
Give one a try, you won't regret it.
Peace,
