If you haven't seen the Travel Channel's show "Man vs. Food," I recommend you check it out. The show consists of host Adam Richman, a food junkie who knows the restaurant business and travels to cities in the U.S. to consume the local fare, and take on at least one local man vs. food eating challenge. Adam is awesome, he is funny and intelligent, a crowd pleaser, and the guy can put down food in serious quantities. Whether it is a 12 pound pizza or 15 dozen oysters, Adam takes up the challenge. The best part of the show is how well made it is, thrusting you into the local city food's scene and taking you to some hot spots, finding some serious eating challenges, inviting and engaging the local crowd to join in, and even ending each episode with a post battle mock news conference to conclude the battle appropriately. Adam is one of my new favorite hosts, a guy who would be awesome to hang out with, and who can eat the eat as well as talk the talk. Check him out, Travel Channel, Wed. night at 9et.
