It's super-violent Lost Sundown episode happy fun time!
Spoilers ahoy!Last night's episode of Lost, (season 6, episode 6) "Sundown," featured a return to the action-based episodes of seasons 2 and 3.
The title of last night's Lost episode, Sundown, refers to the deadline that the Man in Black set for the Others to clear the hell out of the temple or he'd kill them in his Smokey-monster form. Un-Locke followed through with his threat, too.
In a nutshell, last night's Lost episode, Sundown was Sayid-centric, showing the alternate timeline Sayid as he flirted with Nadia (his brother's wife) and ended up murdering Keamy, who was some sort of low-level crime boss in LA. That's the quick and dirty version. In the Sundown Lost episode, it took about 30 minutes of Sayid hugging kids and discussing his brother's thrilling dry cleaning business and the dangers of borrowing money from violent loan sharks before he started his secret agent stuff.
Back in the "real" timeline, Sayid – who is slightly peeved after being shot, drowned, resurrected, and tortured – headed into the samurai Dogan's hideout to have a nice chat. I'm kidding, of course. They had a big honking kung-fu fight, which ended with Dogan on top. But then he caught sight of his kid's baseball and told Sayid to leave the Temple and never come back.
Meanwhile! The Man in Black ordered crazy-face "but still hot" Claire to deliver a message to the samurai Dogan. She trotted into the Temple just in time to catch Sayid doing his tearful goodbyes. Claire announced that ol' Smoky was coming to kick butt and by sundown (LOST episode title shout-out!) the Temple Others had best change alliances. Dogan got all angry and tossed Clair in a dungeon-hole, and told people not to panic. They did. Even as sundown approached, Dogan sent Sayid on a suicide run to murder the Man in Black. But, since the god-king is immortal, Sayid actually switched sides(!) and got that evil spark in his eye.
In the dungeon, Claire sang creepy songs and planned the best way to tear out Kate's throat with her teeth. Oblivious, Kate offered to show Claire her collarbones. I really hope they don't kill off Freckles next week!
The sun went down, Smokey crossed the ash circle, and many others died. It was sort of a bloodbath. Let's just say it's a damn good thing Jack and Hurley were chilling by the lighthouse, or the candidate shortlist would have gotten even shorter.
All-in-all, last night's Lost episode, Sundown, was pretty good. But where was Sawyer? How did Smoky get over the ash? What's Jacob's plan? Yeah.
What did you think of last night's episode of Lost, (season 6, episode 6), Sundown? Theories? Something I missed?
