I will be video taping Afshin, giving his testimony on Saturday 18th 2010, I will post it on you-tube.

Afshin was born into a Shiite Muslim Family in Iran. His grandfather was a Muslim leader who had to choose someone to carry the spiritual life to the next generation. Afshin had several accidents in which he should have been killed, but each time this happened, he saw the silhouette of a person. His grandfather saw that he was open to the spiritual realm, so he taught him the Koran, and so Afshin shared Islam with the poor Christians.

He traveled to Malaysia where he was caught with illegal passports. In jail he taught the Koran to others. He was a devote Muslim, praying 5 times a day, wanting to spend time with God, and pray extra times too. Soon, he gained the spiritual powers of Islam, and spoke to them. He would pray for people who were hurt, but the prayers resulted in accidents, sicknesses, etc.

One night, a strong power tried to overcome him, and choked him. He cried out in the name of Allah. He felt as though he were dying. "God, help me." Then he heard the Voice, "In the name of Jesus." He said, "Jesus, if you are true, show me yourself!" Everything immediately came to normal. But that wasn't his conversion, but his confusion. Why would Jesus help a Muslim. He already believed in a perfect religion.
"O God, show me the path," he prayed and fasted, "What do you want me to do?"

Islam teaches that the greatest sin is to doubt God. But God never visits anybody.

He was confronted with God's holiness. "My sin is so great. God is just, so he must kill me. God, forgive me, forgive me," He prayed over and over. God touched him and said, "I forgive you." He physically felt forgiven. In the Koran it says, "You will be judged on the Day of Judgment, and no one knows until then." But the Voice said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life!" He asked him, what is your name. "Jesus Christ." He fell on his face, weeping in the presence of God. His love and his mercy overwhelmed him.

20 months ago: Let's see, God supposedly touched him and then the next thing "God" says is I am Jesus Christ? According to the Bible, these are two totally separate beings. Can't be the same entity.

Do you see why I can't believe in your God and your Bible? Contradictions of this magnitude can't be explained away by telling me I've failed to comprehended because I'm not reading another section of the Bible, that has been tried before and it fails to work.

And now you put forth a hallucination with the same contradiction in it as if it were a believable tale of a real event.
20 months ago: Six, you are not qualified to speak of these things. You live in another world..
20 months ago: Ed, you might be right, I'm not delusional so I can't talk about things that those without all their faculties might see when their minds are grasping at ANYTHING to prove that their delusions are true.
20 months ago: lol.
20 months ago: Sheesh!

Being blessed and appreciating your blessing is no delusion. Thanking your God for every breath of life He gives you is not wrong or sick. Praising His Name for giving you a future and a hope is the paramount of living and is completely rooted and grounded in reality.

The manifestation is there. All we have to do is open our eyes.

We are the crowning achievement of creation and we need to live and act like it, instead of like a bunch of animals.

If we wants to ignore or deny that tremendous fact, we have the right to but what a waste.

If anyone wants to live beneath that privilege it's up to them. It's a shame, but it's all about our choices. We live and we die with them.

In any event, I'm happy and I know that I am in a good place. So it really doesn't' matter to me if someone else who doesn't know Who I know thinks I'm crazy.
20 months ago: Huey, are you the Muslim that says he saw Jesus? He is delusional, but he's not crazy, at least I hope not.

Delusional and crazy are not the same thing and you are not crazy, a little nuts maybe but aren't we all?

We have a different perspective of the issue at hand. Yours is grounded in faith in your religion; reality is not part of it even though you think that it is. oh it's real to you, just not any way you can prove most aspects of it to anyone else.

Your faith is biased by other's interpretation of events they may have observed first hand and written down, which was later gathered together and interpreted once again by many different minds, many of which had ulterior motives. This document is the Bible; many of the documents that were used at the time to determine what this book says are now locked away or have been destroyed so that no common man can read them, just like the Catholic Church has always wanted it to be. This bunch of religious fanatic strong-arm men created a document that they felt would give them the best chance at dominating the world by controlling ignorant men through fear of the unknown, with a promise of ETERNAL bliss. Pretty big hooks that the guys with money and power used to spread the tale that has so many contradictions all wrapped up in one book.

My faith is in my own interpretation of the evidence before me that I have personally gathered from many sources and includes all of your evidence too. Yes I have had to read the Bible and other sources, first because it was forced on me, next to satisfy my curiosity, and lastly to determine why certain things contradict what I learned during the first two portions of my journey through the Christian religion. Maybe I read too many books with too many different ideas in them and was exposed to too much of the real world and the religious people in it, that could be good or bad, depending on how you view the end result. To me, my eyes were opened and reality was exposed to me. To you, I was probably jaded and now my eyes are closed to your world. Whichever way you see the situation depends on your ability to evaluate both sides, I've been on both, I'll stay on mine.
20 months ago: Six, I understand. Just stay open.
20 months ago: "Yours is grounded in faith in your religion; reality is not part of it even though you think that it is. oh it's real to you, just not any way you can prove most aspects of it to anyone else."

BTW -- reality has everything to do with it. Both of my feet are firmly planted in it and I've laid hold to it and it's propelling me into my destiny.

When my relationships are sound, when my bills are paid, when my kids are doing well -- That's real and I thank God for it.

When things are sour and painful I don't pretend everything is all right either, but as the saying goes --- I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. The Blessing is the proof, but one has to receive it.

Also - I have zero faith in Christianity as a religion. I don't see where much good comes from being a religious Christian either, other than garnering the confusion and ire of folk who don't understand it, are hostile to it or simply don't like it.

Live, share and love not prove. That's all anyone is going to get out of me. The rest is up to the individuals. I just do my part and keep keeping on.

Enjoying the journey.
20 months ago: Your mind has not been clouded by the mainstream fanatics into beleiving that you MUST adhere to THEIR ways or be forever damned. That is good.

I continue to learn and will always be open to new evidence.
20 months ago: I video taped Afshin, giving his testimony on Saturday 18th 2010, I will post it on you-tube. It was awesome, I lot of my questions about Muslims were answered, I will be writing on the subject.
20 months ago: This is retarded. Muslims believe in Jesus. So much facepalm......
20 months ago: Muslims do not believe in Jesus as sacrifice and Savior. They believe he was a great prophet but to a far lesser extent than Mohammad.

Lots of good people who are Muslims out there. Unfortunately, they all get a bad rap today due to the overt link with terrorists who claim to be authentic Muslims.
20 months ago: so whats a muslin then?
20 months ago: Don't know what "A muslin" is but muslin is a cheap, loosely woven, cotton fabric.
20 months ago: Like a table cloth? Maybe whatshisface is confusing that with the table cloth used at the last supper.
20 months ago: Cheaper than a tablecloth. I could make a comparison to something but I'll be nice.

20 months ago: Here's a video of an Evangelical Christian who turned to Islam:

Isn't it an 'awesome testimony'?
20 months ago: It's a lousy testimony, was never a committed Christian, no supernatural encounter.

20 months ago: If I had a nickel for everytime somebody pulled out the 'they weren't a real Christian' card, I'd be rich and there wouldn't be any Christians. Ed, sorry to say there are Fundamentalist Christians that say you're not a real Christian because you're a Charismatic / Pentecostal, or otherwise pronounce you a heretic.

Now here's a video story of a former Pentecostal woman turned Muslim:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPKRu0MuU...

And here's a link to conversions of Christian ministers and missionaries to Islam:

http://www.usislam.org/converts/converts...

including a Pentecostal Church Minister that was baptized and 'filled with the Holy Ghost':

The fact is Ed we can find religious conversion stories from any given religion to another religion - it doesn't prove anything other it's used as part of the sales pitch.
20 months ago: Veronika, did you say that you wanted to buy a tablecloth?
