What to do when your university's mascot is an old Confederate soldier, and you want to promote diversity? You ditch the Rebel Colonel and you pick up a Supreme Commander: Admiral Ackbar. Who else could possibly lead the Ole Miss Rebels than a retired admiral from the Rebel Alliance?
Just last week, students at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) voted for a mascot change. The Mon Calamari dominated the vote tally, and all that remains is for the student council to approve the new Ole Miss mascot, Admiral Ackbar.
Since the Ole Miss mascot is Admiral Ackbar, I hope to see some neat new merchandise, like T-shirts with "It's a trap!!!"
