I had a dream last night, about the betrayals in my life, that has prompted me to write this today.
My father was a dentist, in Trinidad, he wanted me to be a professional. However, I was creative, after a lot of lickings. He gave up on me, abandoned me in a park 40 miles from home at 10, and also in England at 17. (1958)
I never hated him. As a matter of fact, I had the utmost respect for him, the relationship begun to mend after getting married to Junette and gave him his first grandson, although he was only half Chinese, that was a big deal for him.
When I became a successful inventor in Winnipeg, (1971) I bought the best house in the best part of town, and invited my parents to purchase the house next door, I told them that I and Junette will take care of them for the rest of their lives, which we did.
Around 1978 my father and my family became the best of friends. My father would call me up every Sunday morning and ask me. Eduardo (my pet name) would you like to go to church with me this morning? (Calvary Temple, Winnipeg) after some time, I said yes.
In 1982, I was nominated for the "Premier's award for Design Excellence" I had a Trade Show to attend in Toronto, and asked him to receive the award, if I won? When it was announced that I did win, my father who was diabetic, got so excited that he suffered a stroke. To him that was my graduation, he was proud of me, and my best friend, with the exception of my wife Junette.
Two days before he died, his spirit or the Holy Spirit. It was his voice, said, Eduardo go and find a place for me to be buried. I went immediately and chose a plot and his coffin, and made arrangements with Pastor Barber.
I believe that this is one of the reasons why God has intervened so miraculously in our lives, Why are we Evangelist? Because we know, but we know, that the Trinity is the real deal, and that you can trust. NO one but the Lord Jesus, we owe Him everything.
We have been betrayed by employees, distributors in Winnipeg, by an editor (employee) in Surrey, even by Canadian standards association of Toronto, who passed my citification to a distributor that was worth at least 500,000 dollars and when my law firm McQuarrie Hunter in BC wrote them. CSA refused to compensate us. A BC funded company stole our copyright, that cost them $75,000.
On our 50th Wedding Anniversary only two out of four sons attended, all of our family outside BC, including two sons, my brother and sister and their children did not attend. Mainly, because we are Christians, they are constantly criticizing our evangelism.
The Good News
Jesus said that if you are truly of me you will be despised and hated, but to count it all JOY, for your reward in Heaven is great. All the disciplines of Jesus, were killed except John, (for a reason to write revelations) and many are being killed and beheaded even now for the name of Christ.
Summary
God looks on the HEART, should you be a person that does not honor your Father & Mother, or be a dishonest employee YOU WILL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
P.S. I will like to give special mention, to my son Raymond who is not a Christian (as yet) and would never go to church attended our 50th in a church with his wife and all of his children where I preached on the 3 women of God, Junette being one, and Junette sang, that was the highest honor we could have given our Lord.
