Goodbye Keith Olbermann...And Good Riddance!!

For me it is a reason to celebrate. Another Media Giant "Talking Head" gone from the American airwaves. His hate filled show is a sad statement on how slanted the Liberal Media has become.

Right in the middle of a four year 30 million dollar deal MSNBC told Keith to pick up his marbles and go play at home. It is being reported that we will not have to see this fool on TV again until the Fall season. The dismissal is said to be at least indirectly related to Comcast's acquiring of NBC and the parent company's distaste for his defiance and attitude.

His "Worst Person In The World" segment is just a glimpse into this hateful persons mind. It is just an example of how we are not getting unbiased reporting from MSNBC. Gone are the good old days when people just reported the news and not put their own spin on things.

Using your own words that you spoke to Joe Lieberman with "Good Bye and Good Riddance!!!"

29 months ago: Can he take the vitriolic Fox News conservative pundits and Rush Limbaugh with him? I rather see balance and rational moderation.
29 months ago: Balance?!?

The truth is much louder, isn't it?

There is no such thing as "moderation".

29 months ago: Although I seldom agree with Olberman, I feel that it is a mistake for him to leave his show. I know that he supposedly resigned but it is clear to me that he left for political reasons. This is bad.

I have always known that Americans are safer when there is a balance of power. Lately the conservatives have been gaining at the expense of the progressives. The truth is that America needs both progressive and conservative viewpoints. I hope that Rachel Maddow and her kind remain on the air. We need her because sometimes gasp...Glen Beck...is... wrong!

29 months ago: Please. He was fired with terms so that Comcast wouldn't be sued for EEOC violations. Why don't you ask Keith what he got out of the deal. I'm sure he will tell you...

nothing...

Yeah, right. I hear there is an opening a NPR.
29 months ago: So it is OK for Fox to have hate filled commentators like Glenn Beck and his constantly relating everything to Nazi's.

As long as we have Fox and their right wing propaganda machine running we needed a left wing network like MSNBC to balance the load.

Nobody has said for sure why Olbermann left MSNBC, only that it seemed to happen in one day. MSNBC still had Olbermann Lean Forward ads running later in the evening after he signed off. I did not always agree with him, but I thought he was always more intelligent than anybody on Fox.
29 months ago: Keithie thought he was MSNBC and after Comcast decided the network was in the tank for years under his leadership....say bye bye...

Would it not be funny if MSNBC under the Comcast ownership becomes more FOXlike?

29 months ago: In the end the media and its pundits will continue their game, beef up their cheering squad team and come up with the occasional human interest story while a comatose America sits home and wonders to itself why the country is going to the dogs and there is no one left to offer a subjective discussion, irrespective of idealogical dogma of what is actually going on in this nation, what it means and how we arrived at that moment.

Instead we will all be resigned to pointing fingers, applauding Hollywood stars who resemble action heroes with perfect haircuts and jawlines and the commiserating the continued liberties of this nation and those brave enough to inspire and engender said discussions. What a bloody shame.

29 months ago: Scallywag, the nice thing is we are no longer confined to suckling from the information nipple of any major media news network. The only time I watch CNN, Fox, MSNBC, etc., if there's a major breaking news type event or they something interesting (rarely) or stupid enough (often) to get it rebroadcast to somewhere on the Internet.
29 months ago: Mark, the only time I watch any of those (including FOX) is when I laid up in bed too sick to work. Maybe 1 day out of the year. Then I try my best to find a good set of movies on AMC before my last best hope for todays news from any of them. Face it. If it's on CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, FOX or any other system, it already hit the internet.

Unless your talking a local mass murderer arrest....
