On the following website,

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100319/ap_o...

it is reported that Sheriff Arpaio is sweeping his county TRYING TO ENFORCE THE LAW.

Go Sheriff!

The article mentions that his critics are crying about how he and his law enforcement officers are "racially profiling Hispanics".

My simple mind has some questions.

Isn't that redundant? How to you profile without noticing someone's race? Age maybe? Old people don't really break the laws, do they?

What's wrong with profiling? He's not arresting Hispanics who are not breaking the law, is he?

Are any of the Muslim, Scumbag Terrorists white, funny talking, chaps from New Zealand?

The Sheriff investigates and arrests all lawbreakers. Has anyone alleged he only arrests Hispanics?

Do you not call someone who is here by breaking the law a "law breaker"? Are those immigration laws not really enforceable?

Do you reckon if a white guy kills somebody in cold blood that Sheriff Arpaio ignores him and does not arrest him?

You reckon if an expensive, new Lexus flies by his deputies at 120 mph that they ignore him, but if an older model car with carpet on the dash drives by under the speed limit, he pulls the older model car over?

Look at the video. They are white, black, hispanic, etc. in that jail.

Law breakers are law breakers are law breakers. PERIOD.

Go Sheriff!

"Joe Arpaio is also currently under investigation by the FBI, the DOJ, and a federal Grand Jury for abuse of power and civil rights violations."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Arpaio#...

I remember reading a story where he would set up stations to randomly search cars for no reason. He had to be told that he was violating people's 4th Amendment rights.

If Arpaio (and people who thought like him) made the laws, we'd live in a police state like that in Orwell's 1984. It's hard for me to understand how people can support this guy.
23 months ago: Cypress, Billy, etc are Texans.

I'm a Tennessean, and I think like him.

I support him completely, but you liberal/socialists think you know what is best for the world, irrespective of the LAW.

I reiterate, THE LAW!

Chris, you have it bass ackwards, respectfully.

RSG, you're just being silly. You can't just arrest people because you think they're suspicious. That is, in your terms, "THE LAW."

23 months ago: Chris:

Who said anything about arresting suspicious persons? I agree, you can only arrest people for breaking the law.

The sheriff cannot stop and search anyone unless he has reasonable suspicion that the person is breaking the law.

Isn't it funny how the Fed's are trying to out him down just when they are trying to pass all these federal mandates. Mandates of which he was elected to protect his citizens against.

23 months ago: Actually the Arizona Attorney General is investigating Sheriff J.W. Pepper, err Sheriff Arpaio and how he's using the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office RICO fund.

23 months ago: RSG, how can you be supporting this anti-business Sheriff?! Don't you realize that illegal immigrants are the cheap labor lifeline for big business. Now while modern technology has allowed big tech firms to hire illegals virtually (euphemistically calling it out-sourcing to far-flung places like India), they can't do the hard dirty work like agri-labor and cleaning hotel rooms.

Don't you remember when our hero Ronald Regan gave 'amnesty' to million of illegals back in 1986, and that law is still being used in the present:

http://articles.latimes.com/2008/dec/15/...

As Moon Beam Bush said back in 2004 when he was pushing for his own amnesty program, the only jobs that are open are those that Americans won't do.

This Republican brown shirt is upsetting the apple cart. If Arpaio want to be a good Republican politico like Reagan and Bush, he needs to get with the program and tell the partisan saps what they want to hear (illegal immigration is bad and we're going to secure our borders!) while doing the just the exact opposite (make sure big business has cheap labor)

...Are any of the Muslim, Scumbag Terrorists white, funny talking, chaps from New Zealand?...

Hmm, Jihad Jane looks pretty New Zealand like to me:

23 months ago: As always, you do have a point...........up to a point.

Your mixing Apples and Oranges Mark. That law says for those who entered LEGALLY TO START WITH. Does it not?

These current "furiners" came here ILLEGALLY TO START WITH.

We agree Bush, McCain, Grahnesty, etc. all sucked too.

As far as Jihad Jane, blowing yourself up with 350 men, women and children is a bit different that recruiting nut jobs to your cause, I imagine.

That is false and not true. The companies hiring illegals often push that ideology. The meat shop down the road pushed that ideology too in the local newspaper saying he can't find Americans to work. But what they don't tell you is these companies are paying minimum wage to workers that have a certain trade-skill. So who wants to work for minimum wage when the work requires hard labor and a certain skill set that is only obtained through experience? Trade-skills are not getting paid their respective wages like they were when my father was growing up. The companies are under cutting their wages so that can own a second condo in Florida period. It boils down to greed of the companies.

22 months ago: Of course Scot - I didn't say it - Bush did. You know, one of those evangelical conservatives that on one hand will talk tough on illegal immigration to keep the religious right happy while in practice doing the bidding of big business to ensure cheap labor from down south or virtual labor from abroad.

23 months ago: The constitution has two laws that are allowed, the common law (upon the land) and international law (upon the Sea).
Under the constitution there MUST be a real victim in a criminal case, for you to be put in jail
The state is an artificial entity and cannot be hurt, so it does not qualify as a real victim.
Because under the statutes, which are not recognized in the constitution, but are in actuality are admiralty laws,
The state can bring charges against you when there has not been a real victim crime. Victimless crimes are the reason we have criminals, with no victims.
Under the Constitutional common law, you can't be put in jail for running a red light, unless you hurt someone.
The little monster there is in treason to the constitution.

22 months ago: 70. Victim: Means any Natural Man or Woman Secured Party who has received direct damages to himself or his property as the result of an unlawful or illegal act by another.

71. Victimless Laws: Means any law that is passed or presumed to be passed that creates a violation of law in which no Natural Man or Woman has been damaged. This includes any statute, ordinance, regulation, policy, or color of law provision. These types of laws will not be used in any action, of any kind, against any Natural Man or Woman Secured Party.

This is an explanation of what the common law is all about.

I hope it helps you understand that these laws were lost to us.
