This is just a quick follow up to my post a few months back about Android. As a once iPhone using person I am here to tell you that if you have an iPhone and your contract is up...dump it and ATT and move to an Android phone (I personally use the HTC Evo4G from Sprint, which also offers the Intercept and Epic) or you can go Verizon for the Samsung GalaxyS or Droid X, Droid 2, Droid Eris etc. etc.
The article points out 10 reasons why its better and I will add that the phones are much easier to use and more customizable than iPhone. Also a big draw is 4G (in the big city markets but growing fast) and the fact that nearly every app in the market is free whereas the iPhone market is filled with expensive apps.
Further, Sprint is probably the best deal you can get in the cell phone market. for $69.99/month you get UNLIMITED data, email, web, text and calling to EVERY cell phone in the country regardless of carrier (you also get 500 minutes of calling to land line phones) or for $99.99 month you get unlimited everything. (I don't work for Sprint, I just like saving people money).
