* Immaculate Conception: the doctrine that Mary was conceived without sin, and was taken up bodily into heaven.

Mary made atonement for her sins.

Leviticus 12:6: And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtle-dove, for a sin offering to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to the priest.

Luke 2:22: And when the days of her purification according to the Law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought Him to Jerusalem, to present Him to the Lord (As it is written in the Law of the Lord, Every male that opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord) And to offer a sacrifice according to that said in the Law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.

Mary knew that she needed a savior.
Luke 1:46,27: And Mary said, my soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

PNT Commentary. My Savior. Mary, by this word, reckons herself among that which was lost. She obtained salvation, not from herself, but from Jesus. --Bengel.
Woman, what do I have to with thee? These words in our language sound harsh and almost rude, but the term rendered woman was respectful and gentle (John 19:26). This language, partly a rebuke, to Mary, shows very plainly that the Catholic fiction of Mary being immaculate, the "Queen of Heaven," and "the Mother of God," is all nonsensical.

John 2:4: Jesus said to her, "How does that concern us, woman? My hour has not yet come."

John 20:15: Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will take him away."

Luke 11:27-28: When Jesus had said this, a woman spoke up from the crowd and said to him, "How happy is the woman who bore you and nursed you!" But Jesus answered, "Rather, how happy are those who hear the word of God and obey it!"

In the book of Luke, what Jesus meant was that he was on an important mission and did not want to be worried about and disciplined as an earthly child, please leave me alone.

Luke 2:45 –49: When they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem, searching desperately for him. Three days later they found him in the temple sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions. All who heard him were amazed at his intelligence and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were shocked. His mother asked him, "Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been worried sick looking for you!" He said to them, "Why were you looking for me? Didn't you know that I had to be in my Father's house?"
Jesus when Dying.

When Jesus was dying, concerned about Mary He puts her in the care of one of his disciple. Whom he loved: meaning John, the writer of this Gospel.
John 19:26-27: When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he kept loving standing there, he said to his mother, "Woman, here is your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Here is your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home.
