Monica Conyers, the corrupt politician which plead guilty to bribery charges was sentenced to 37 months behind bars in federal prison. Monica somehow thought she would just get a little slap on the wrist and misjudged the possibility of subjecting herself to serving time.
In the courtroom on Wednesday, Conyers went so far as to demand that she now be allowed to withdraw her guilty plea. "I'm just not going to jail for something I did not do,"
Motion denied! Sit down and shut up.
John Conyers, House Judiciary Chairman and husband was not in the courtroom during the sentencing. John Conyers has not been available for comment.
Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch and a long time Conyers critic, Wednesday called on him to resign his chairmanship due to former Detroit Councilwoman Monica Conyers' legal troubles.
"Appearances count," Fitton said. "He's the wrong person to head the Judiciary Committee."
