So far, how do Obama rallies compare with Tea Party rallies?

Obama rallies:

Protestors defecate on the sidewalk next to police cars, mask their faces and desecrate the American Flag, among other things.

Protestors are paid to be there, and they do not bring their children.

Protestors decry corporate greed, capitalism and class envy.

Tea Party rallies

They bring our children.

Protestors complain our Government is stealing our liberty and freedom, that they are fed up, and that it is over. Finis. Kaput. This is an historic revolution.

They praise the American flag, praise America, praise G-d, cleanup and go back to work.

They also are not being paid to be there.

7 months ago: OK I will concede that one or two nutcases might have acted badly during the occupation. After all this is New York we are talking about here.

The fledgling movement was started by young people motivated mostly to act out against the "System". They were antagonized by the police arresting 700 in one day and by police spraying pepper spray indiscriminately at defenseless and peaceful women. But now that it is turning from a local protest into a real national movement. I think it is fair to compare the two movements.

Look at the signs from the Tea Party protests and it is clear that the Tea Party attracts adherents to all of the worst of human nature. Hatred, Racism, Intolerance of others. Listen to the responses at the Tea Party/Republican debates and they cheer the death penalty even when many are innocent. They Yeah when asked if the sick should be allowed to die just because they can't afford insurance, and they boo a patriotic brave soldier just because he is gay.

OK compare that to the 99%rs, and all of the people are happy peaceful and tolerant of others. Their goals are also to restore freedom and democracy, but they protest corporate greed, unfairness, income inequality and injustice.

The Wall Street protesters may have one person who reimbursed a few people for transportation but the Tea Party is financed with tens of millions of dollars from people like the Koch Brothers who have enriched themselves through oil and illegal trade with Iran. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-10-02...

Because the Tea Party has been brainwashed by Fox news and Hate radio, they support the polluters and deny global warming. If you look at their policies, they intend to further enrich the obscenely wealthy and the corporations with more tax cuts, to make life harder for those already suffering. They want to end Social Security, Medicare, Unions, any health care, and they want eternal war.

The Tea Party is unified by those they hate. Obama most of all, but also blacks, Muslims, Latinos, the UN, scientists and inconvenient facts.

The 99%rs on the other hand are very inclusive. They are very diverse and while they protest greed and injustice, they do not hate the rich or the corporations that are responsible for it.

While the Tea Party blames the wrong people for the nations ills and while their policies have made everything worse, the 99%rs have targeted the correct villains. It was the lack of regulations and the gambling of the banks and super rich who destroyed the economy. It was the banks that received hundreds of billions in bailout money but refused to renegotiate home loans or lend to small businesses. It was the international corporations who moved all of the jobs overseas and refuse to hire while sitting on $2.5 trillion.

Tea partiers are hating, racist, intolerant biggots, and you socialists/statists/progressives/ democrats are smarter than anyone else ever in the entire existence of humans on this earth or anywhere.

The elections in November, 2010, would not have happened with 1% of the vote Al. Get real.

7 months ago: The Tea Party only represents the rich and their corporate masters. The Tea Party defends the hundred million dollar golden parachutes of the billionaires who have harmed the nation, the workers, and the corporations they oversaw.

The 99%rs want jobs. The Republicans only response is less regulations and more tax cuts. This has not created jobs for the last 13 years. At least Obama and the Democrats (41 different jobs bills- Republicans 0) are trying. What we really need to help the chronically unemployed are programs like Job Corps that trains and educates people to new fields. We need another WPA.

The Tea Party would leave the free market to generate jobs (maybe in 5 years) but the free market has written off the chronically unemployed refusing to hire any but the most qualified who already have a job.

The only comparison you need make, the only question you need ask is: does the Tea Party help the 99% or the 1%?

I and my friends and my neighbors and my associates are not rich and corporate masters.

We are all common, hard working people who struggle to make ends meet every single day, and we all think Obama and his statist policies all suck.

And we are well more than 1% Al.
