Back in 1997 Francis Tullier was arrested and charged with more than 500 counts of molestation... castration or not, "freedom" should not be a word that should ever be used by this monster that has caused irreversible pain in so many young lives. Where does the court get off on letting out a such a gross offender, while the his victims are imprisoned by their pain and memories? Payment for such crimes cannot be harsh enough.
Don't get me wrong, I think anyone can be forgiven, but I hold to the consequences for such acts must be a deterrent to others. One in every crowd, who has never had a child, rants about the inhumane treatment of sex offenders... that won't be me. I would support the death penalty for child sex offences, to keep them from reoccurring... because it seems that our society refuses to educate the public with facts that could curb much of this behavior. It is a well known fact that pornography contributes to much of this deviance, yet as a multi-billion dollar industry... prime-time seems to be it's prominent resting place.
Dr. James Dobson conducted the sole interview with serial killer Ted Bundy... who stated that it was pornography that was a contributing factor in his deviance; furthermore that every death-row inmate has been addicted to porn. America doesn't actually have it's head in the sand on this one... it has just established it's priorities. If a nation cares little for children inside the womb... how should it be expected to care for them out? It is also not a matter of how many have to die before things get changed... it is a matter of who!
It isn't until a prominent person has their wife, or child taken from them or defiled in a grizzly fashion that things get changed. Like when you hear of 6 people get shot and killed, and only the surviving political figure gets remembered; our society has established which lives are valuable and which ones are not. I am overjoyed when someone escapes the clutches of a madman, but the whole nation would breathe a sigh of relief if they would never had to worry about a repeat offence; punishments must fit the crimes. And in the case of sex offenders... castration is a good place to start.
