COPS -- THE LARGEST STREET GANG IN AMERICA

I thought that someday I would live to see the end of police abuse or police brutality at age 66.

In this film the police are acting as only the minorities of America, know them to always act -- as animals.

As I remember them to act when I was a young man, in the lower East side of New York City.

Where you risked your life at the hands of the police, more than by any other group or action.

Where they beat you up just for the fun of it, where not even your women and children were safe from their brutality.

I love this country and want to protect our constitutional rights just as any other person would want to.

But after seeing this film, I was disappointed that the system has not changed not even a little bit, and in fact has gotten worst.

This film is definite proof that we live in a POLICE STATE, where the rights of the people, no matter their color, nationality or religion means nothing at all.

In a police state, all cops are above the law, and only the very rich can afford to live free.

This film is definite proof that you have lost most of your constitutional rights.

I do not have much more to say, except that if you do not view it, you will not believe me when I tell you, that you have a greater chance of being victimized even today, by a cop, than any other street gang in America.

If you find yourself walking down Orange Blossom Trail in South Orlando, you won't be thinking, "gee, I hope the 'cops gang' don't abuse me" - you'll be patting your concealed weapon down and looking to make haste in getting out of Dodge.

Of course as you noted, there has always been abusive police and back in the day, barely educated cops busting somebody's head up with a bully stick for 'mouthing off' was not uncommon - it's just the availability of easy camera phone technology that makes it easy to capture for posterity.

Sad to say, you ignored a key component of this discussion and I'm guessing because it doesn't fit your political paradigm. We have an appalling multitude of high crime zip code areas that make certain overseas war zones comparatively safe and it doesn't surprise me that cops who work in these hostile environments are prone to becoming hard-bitten and inhumane. That doesn't excuse what's in the video but your facetious conclusion that we have more chance of being victimized by cops than criminals is absurd.

Police brutality is rampant, in every part of this country as never before.

It does not matter any more if you are not a minority, now more than ever before, whites are learning the painful reality of being treated as a minority here.

I live in Florida, and if I or another minority member travels to areas I avoid, they have a hugh chance of being abused and beat up or killed by cops.

This film is REALITY, whether you want to accept it or not.

Now in many parts of this great nation, you stand a far greater chance of being beat up by cops than the hells angels or any other gang.

THIS IS OUR PRESENT REALITY, YOU ARE NOW LEARNING, WHAT IT IS TO BE TREATED AS A MINORITY. AIN'T IT GREAT?

What white society has ignore is slapping them in the face now.

Justice has a way of evening itself out.

If we are labeling soldiers with post traumatic stress disorder then why are we not labeling officers that are prone to the same disease? Especially when they have been on the job for any length of time leading to unneeded aggressive violent behavior you see in the video.
