Ashton Kutcher takes on CNN in a face-off between Old School Media (CNN)and New School Media (Twitter).
The actor/prankster Ashton challenged Ted Turner, CNN's founder to a duel to see who could get to 1 million Twitter followers first. Ashton stated that if he won, (which he did!) he would ding-dong-ditch Ted's mansion and donate $100,000 a cause against malaria called Malaria No More.
Even Larry King sent a warning to Ashton basically saying who does he think he is? He can't really expect to win against CNN and told him to get a clue as to how big they were.
After the big win, Ashton said it was a testiment to the world that social media, by the people for the people, can contend against the media giants.
The best part was watching the live video stream from Kutcher's house celebrating by popping the champagne bottle, while P Diddy's on the phone, and his other guests doing the happy dance to "Celebrate good times..come on!" Oh yeah, and his being able to rub the win in Larry's face. Hehe.
