This is what they do delay, delay,delay.
Without large, loud nationwide protest, don't expect anything to happen.
Quiet time is over, its time to raise the roof.
The letter writing, emails, phone calls and faxes are just ignored.

14 months ago: Yes it will probably take some time for them to get together however I wanted to at least share and give a glimmer of hope again and I agree, I did write asking for information on the best way to try and gather people and be seen. protest at our presidents door step. I don't know the first thing about doing this but I know that it would be difficult people not having money to travel and people not have a way to travel. I would definitley need to find a meeting place where I live for people to car-pool. Any help on getting this started or how would be great.

I to was in that boat, Thank god my son still has his job and as must as I hate to ask or take help from my own child. Iam fortunate enough for his help and the use of his internet. I hope that most people are just taking a break from the internet and that were not losing the only communication with others all arond us.

Shut your pie hole and go pick somethings else apart. Well now that I think about it I would much rather you try and tear me down than someone else I am use to dealing with losers like you. I have read and studied about people like you there called bullies. I welcome it, I am a retired behavior specialist and love a challenge studing new head cases.

14 months ago: Not a problem, I can do that. I am not sure what twitter is tho. I am trying to figure all of this out. I joined Feb 1 2011 and there's alot, I am trying to learn whatever I can and thought I was doing okay until recently. I made some mistakes that I am aware of now. my mistakes were unintensional.

I just joined Feb 1, 2011 just learning how to communicate and share on the internet and to answer Cypress question I was able to copy and paste an address from the site before however, the one part of it would not come out no matter how many times I tried. I also did not know their was a limit on words. Obviously, some people make money from posting thats why it has caused such a problem for them. I am not here to make money, I was just trying to bring a little hope back into someone I and a few other people were talking to. don't care to mention there name but its not hard to figure out if our post were read. Didn't realize I would affend anyone by doing so. As I said, I had no idea that I was wrong Mark and I appoligize for that. I had no idea and will try not to make any mistakes as in the one that I did.

As I told Sunny, I have good friends on this board that I can convey my most private thoughts and know that someone will listen. I don't know if I would have the courage to post an article and hope that it gets the kind of exposure that your posts get. 14 months ago: ash.... we will get through this. It is such a hard time for most of us. I'm listening to every word you say. I know I'm hoping that they add the 14 weeks at least that is something. The guys will yell I'm sure or stamp their feet. We think differently than they do. It's okay. You want to resume your life in the worse way. I don't like the hold up either. I don't like this economy or restrictions put on me. I like the freedom as an American. I want the right to dream and progress. I don't want this government to take it away. I also agree with Sunny, can't wait for election day thats for sure. We also have the march for jobs coming up the first weekend in April. So we still have a little lite at the end of the tunnel.

Thats cool that you sent a letter supporting HR 589. I am sure each one they receive helps. Like I have said, we need to keep in touch, because if I didn't have you guys to beable to vent and talk to without being bilittled or having everything I write being interogateted like I was in court. it would definatley be more difficult thats for sure.
14 months ago: Why don't the two of you just go into your profile and turn on the email feature? instead of posting your email address for eveyone? You can always go back and turn the email feature off. It sends messages through the site to your registered email address without releasing the personal info.

If your concerned about hate mail. Maybe you should not post your email address.

Anyhow I am glad that we heard from Gary. and as far as the government ignoring us, I feel like they keep saying things are getting better or have and jobs are growing, I assume thinking that it will pacify us in there minds. I am just hopeing that someone starts feeling a little guilt and does something before elections time. I keep reading that more and more people have come to the end of their benefits and they keep stating that the unemployment rate has dropped even more and how that just makes my rear end burn and they don't think education is improtant well this surely proves it that they are not able to calculate the unemployment ratio correctly.

The area I live in Hudson Valley in NY is blowing trumpets that the so called rate is now LOWERED AGAIN to 7.2 for this region -yet ANOTHER drop from previous month of 7.9%.
I am sure they are "gearing up" for another nice BOGUS drop in the National rate % this week too!
If this keeps up we will be at ZERO in no time!

Is there any hope at all for us or is this just misworded but looks like he signed for NY to extend-but where is everyone else and since te extension would be Federal isnt this something to come from Obama`s home?

New York governor Andrew Cuomo has signed an extension of federal unemployment benefits into law.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday signed into law a measure extending federally funded unemployment insurance benefits through 2011.The new law enables New York to continue paying benefits for about 166,000 New Yorkers, the governor's office said.

The governor's signature comes as a number of states are proposing similar measures aimed at addressing unemployment benefits for millions of long-term unemployed Americans. The state of Oregon passed and signed into law a similar measure earlier this month.

Mr. Cuomo, who announced a proposed compromise in the state budget earlier this week, has put forth a number of spending cuts, many of which are aimed at state public programs. The Democratic governor has resisted a push for increasing taxes.

The latest unemployment extension will not tap state coffers. The governor's signature allows the state to continue collecting unemployment benefits for a third year.

At least if they did something, job creation, anything is better than nothing. Much needed programs are cut back on, especially for education. 13 months ago: Gary, that would be so much fun to play in the sand box with them. I would love more than anything to be able to throw sand in there eyes. Doesn't sound like much harm but we are kids in a sand box. Anyhow, I am just being stupid and trying to make lite of the situation because, this has been so outrages and stupid,ignorant, back stabbing, cold heartedness, liars, theives, on and on and this is our government. Like I told Sunny, KARMA!!! it always comes back to bite you in the **** sooner or later and I hope its sooner and its three fold. I certainly DO NOT wish harm on any of them thats for sure only that they exsperience the heartache and stress/depression and the not knowing daily, what and if you might have a meal on the table, If this is the day they shut the electric off and the loss of everything you worked for your entire life. And from no fault of ours or there's, But POOF!!!! Gone from a cook-out in our backyard with family and friends, to not having a picnic table let alone a backyard anymore. I am so disgusted anymore. I litterly fill out applications in my sleep now. Its time we see a little more light at the end of the tunnel and get that call back for that job. Evy
