I have had my fair share of cell phones, from a range of companies from Sprint back in the day, then Voicestream (Now T-Mobile), and finally Boost Mobile. I have to say, many people complain about the service and/or technical support of Boost Mobile, but i have had no such issues.
Some Background: Boost Mobile is owned by Sprint/Nextel, and operates on a month-to-month basis. This means you do not have to sign a contract. I recently switched from T-mobile to Boost Mobile's Unlimited Plan. This plan costs $50 per month, and includes unlimited talk/text/web/et cetera.
So here's the review
Service/Coverage: Haven't had a single problem, very reliable.
Phones: There is not much of a selection, mostly made by Motorola. They are also pretty expensive for what they are, i got the Motorola i776, which has a camera, full color, external display (it's a flippy phone), text/pic/gps capability, and is pretty easy to use. It cost $100.
Support: They were very helpful setting up my Auto Re-boost (basically, they automatically charge your account for you monthly bill).
Cost: Very cheap, especially when compared to other wireless service providers. My Verizon home phone costs more per month for less features. Also, the $50 per month premium INCLUDES TAX, so it really is just $50 per month.
So my recommendation, go out and get it, it's currently set to pay for itself, and if you aren't happy, there isn't a contract, so you aren't stuck paying some crazy termination fee if something better comes along.
