Before you start shopping this year, you had better read this is you want to streach your money during this years holiday shopping period.
We all know that black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year and can be quite hectic on anyone with all of the deals floating around. So I want to share a great tip with you that will not only save you money and time, but will put some sanity back into your life during these times.
Just follow my step by step guide and you will come out a winner this black Friday.
1. November 1st 2010:
Make a list of presents you intend on getting everyone this year. Make a excel sheet with the persons name on the left and the present on the right. Also create a few columns, named electronics, food, clothes, jewelry, books, etc... then place the gift there for that person.
So it would like like this:
Name Electronics Books
John I Pad How the west was lost.
Sue I Phone Where the rich guys are.
It's best to list 2 or 3 per person in-case you can't find the 1st choice. Take your time and think carefully as you have a week to do this.
2. November 7th 2010:
By now you should have your list complete and ready to start.
Open up a browser and get ready for fun internet shopping. Take your 1st column and do a search using the words "coupons for" Electronics, I Pad (or what every your column name is and item.)
Now it's time to save some money. Take a look at all of the offers and coupons, if you see an item at almost 50% off. Buy it now, don't wait as it will be out of stock soon.
Anything else make a book mark folder on your browser called Black Friday 2010, add any sites where the price looks good, but you think it may go lower. Also if they have a subscription service sign up, as they will send you price alerts.
Repeat this process for all of the items and people you have on your shopping list.
3. November 14th 2010:
By now you should have at least 20% of your shopping out of the way. So lets go back and visit those sites you book marked. Some times after the page opens you may want to do a "Ctrl F5" that's called a hard refresh to make sure you are getting the updated info on the page. If you see something where the price has dropped to the 50% mark buy it now.
4. November 21st 2010:
If all is working well you should be 40% done and 50% richer. This way you can buy dad that new 80 inch plasma he's been wanting this year. Also if you buy that 80 inch plasma, send me an email with your address and a list of items you will be serving at your super bowl party this year. I'll stop by if I can find the time.
Go ahead and take this week off from shopping online and get ready for Thanksgiving, but keep an eye open for any super deals that may be coming up by reading the news online, check the Tech section as they always post something like:
" Apple to add 1 million new servers"
Apple is adding more servers this black Friday, as they expect an over load of traffic, when they list their "I Everything" on sale at 40% for one day....
Once again book mark this!
5. Nov 25th, 11:00 PM SST (Sales Standard Time)
Google "Black Friday sales." get your credit card out of your holster and shop until you drop!
You should find any gifts you still need at the prices you want, but you need to be quick as items go fast and servers tend to crash under the black Friday traffic.
6. Nov 25th, 4:00 AM (Your time)
1. Get a bottle of rotten egg stench and a can of any malt liquor beer, (With a brown paper bag.)
2. Get a can of mace.
3. Grab any large club looking item, that can put 3 or 4 lumps on someones head.
4. Hop into your car.
5. Get to the store of your choice for Black Friday sales. Walmart is a good one.
6. After you get out of the car, pour the nasty egg stench all over you. Pour the beer all over you, and put the beer back in the bag.
7. Get your weapons, and attach them to your waist, hold the empty beer can inside the brown bag in one hand.
Go to the line and get ready to be moved straight to the front as people will take one look and smell and move out of your way. Once in front, throw the beer can and weapons away.
